Apartments and villas in North East Mallorca
The North East area of Majorca is one of the most picturesque on the island. Ancient fishing villages, friendly resorts, clean sandy beaches and historical towns line this spectacular area of the coast. The main tourist resorts are Puerto Pollensa and Puerto Alcudia. Both are perfect places to take the family, have good facilities, beachside cafes and water sports.

Puerto Pollensa has a sweeping horseshoe bay and shallow waters and Puerto Alcudia has 11km fine white sand stretching along the coast. Puerto Pollensa also has a memorable promenade, Pine Walk, which stretches between the beach and the marina, overhung with palms.

The busier Puerto Alcudia has a wide range of restaurants and boutiques lining pedestrianised walkways and a lively nightlife with late-opening bars and cafes.

Pollensa and Alcudia are both old Roman towns with twisting medieval streets and central town squares. Pollensa has a lively market on Sundays, and its square Placa Major is the centre of the town’s relaxed evening entertainment. Alcudia is surrounded by medieval fortress walls which shade the narrow streets within and there are the remains of a Roman amphitheatre on the outskirts of the town. It is also home to the Orator de Santa Anna, one of Majorca’s oldest churches.

The smaller villages of Son Serra de Marina and Santa Margalida are perfect retreats for a quieter taste of Majorcan life. Santa Margalida is flanked by rolling green hills and has a central square with tapas bars and shops, and Son Serra de Marina has a small marina and a beautiful 3km sandy beach popular with kite surfers.
