Location
Your village house offers excellent self-catering accommodation, but should you wish to dine out, Parque da Floresta offers a number of options from traditional fare, drinks, snacks, Mediterranean style dishes, Italian favourites, and gourmet cuisine in the renowned O Parque a-la-carte restaurant which overlooks the golf course. Or perhaps try the cabin-style Blue Wave restaurants on the shore at Quinta da Foraleza – a five minute drive away, with a regular shuttle bus operating.
For leisure activities, Parque da Floresta has much to offer: an 18-hole par 71 championship golf course, a leading Golf Academy, and a health and beauty spa. Other sporting activities include swimming, tennis, bowls, archery, horse riding (at nearby Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve) mountain biking, jeep safaris, and water sports including diving.
Guests at Parque da Floresta benefit from generous discounts on green fees at the resort’s golf course and preferential rates at other local course. Children between 3 and 16 have a number of different clubs to join for professionally run, organised fun.
The closest resort to Parque da Floresta is Luz, which is a traditional fishing port which has evolved. Its beach, Praia da Luz is one of the Algarve’s finest, with white sand and clear blue waters. It has a few beachside cafes and water sports are on offer throughout the summer. The colourful sandstone cliffs make a pretty backdrop and are popular for cliff-top walks, and at one end are the locally renowned ‘rocha negra’ or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.
Lagos is 16km away, and is a historic maritime city which has links with Henry the Navigator. The pedestrianised main street is lined with restaurants and open-air cafes and Praca da Republica, the main square is a great place for people watching, and taking advantage of the street entertainment on offer. Lagos’ importance during the Age of Discovery finds the streets steeped in history, and it is also the site of the earliest slave market in Europe. Historic sites include the governor’s castle and the church of St Sebastian.

Ground Floor
On the ground floor, the spacious living/dining room has a fireplace and comfortable seating for 6 people. The television comes equipped with a DVD player, and the room also has a CD player. At one end of the room is a dining table with seating for 4 people and the room has doors which open onto the terrace. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted, and comes equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine.
Also on this level is one of the house’s three bedrooms. It has twin beds, fitted wardrobes and doors onto the terrace. The bathroom on this level contains a shower cubicle and wc.
First Floor
On the upper level are the house’s remaining two bedrooms. The first has a double bed and fitted wardrobes, the second has a double bed, fitted wardrobes, patio doors onto the balcony and an en-suite bathroom.
Outside
All our three bedroom golf village houses share the large communal pool set in sun drenched terraces. Most have ground floor rooms that open onto the sun terrace.
