This attractive family villa is on two floors with spacious rooms, wooden ceilings and cool tiled floors throughout.

Approach

A neat gravel driveway lined with pink flowering oleander trees brings you to C’an Jordi, situated in the peaceful residential area of Cuxach. As you enter the villa through the front door and into the entrance hall, the kitchen is on your right and the dining room on your left.

Ground Floor

The cosy living room has a traditional open fireplace, sofas and seating and satellite TV, as well as a CD player and Playstation 2 – handy if you want to keep the kids out of the midday sun for half an hour. To the left of the lounge is small hallway with a set of stairs and a door into the utility room. As well as the washing machine, the large utility room has a corner shower room and a door into the barbecue kitchen. The corner shower room is handy for washing off the sand when you return from the beach. The large, fully-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher.
A stone archway joins the living room to the spacious dining room. There is a large wooden dining table with six chairs, as well as an armchair and a writing desk with a chair and small lamp. An alcove is fitted with several shelves and, opposite, french doors open on to the sun-filled terrace and gardens.
A hallway from the entrance leads you to the two ground floor bedrooms. One has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, whilst the other is furnished with twins and has the use of a separate bathroom.

First Floor
The cool and comfortable first floor bedroom has twin beds, a bedside cabinet with small reading lamp, a chest of drawers, and oval wall mirror. It also has its own en-suite shower room and doors opening on to a private veranda. Two steps up from the bedroom floor take you to a balcony with views over the pool and gardens, to the countryside beyond. In the evening, this is an idyllic place to enjoy a romantic nightcap under the stars.

Outside

Adjoining the house, through a door from the utility room is a covered barbecue kitchen, open to the gardens at the front. This well-equipped, quaint room has a large barbecue grill along one wall, and a long table and benches along the other. So even if it should rain (unlikely in the Mallorcan summer) you can still enjoy a tasty family barbecue.
The attractive gardens are a mix of sun terraces, lawns and plentiful planting. Tall palm trees add shade and privacy, and colourful flowering shrubs and spiky mini palms sit in pots around the terrace.
The area of terrace outside the entrance and kitchen is shaded by a sloping tiled roof supported on wooden beams and stone pillars. Here there is a marble topped garden table and six cushioned cane chairs, the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed, lazy lunch. If you want to dine in the cooler evening sun, there is a large stone table with a colourful tiled top, surrounded by benches at the poolside.
The private rectangular pool is raised from the terrace by a stone surround and has a metal ladder for access. The villa has sunloungers and parasols for sunbathing and shaded reading.

Location

C’an Jordi is situated in the quiet residential area of Cuxach, within large private gardens, secluded by mature trees. However please be aware that it does have a few neighbours, and would not suit those looking for total seclusion.

Well worth a visit is the old town of Pollensa, its narrow streets dating back to the 18th Century. On Sunday mornings, a market fills the main square of Placa Major with stalls brimming with fresh fruit, flowers and local crafts.

Surrounding and sheltering the town are the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, providing unforgettable views - and for the more adventurous opportunities for walking and hiking.

The beach at Puerto Pollensa, 4.2km away has warm, shallow waters, ideal for small children. It offers a selection of water sports and facilities such as beachside cafes and sunbeds/parasols. However, there are a number of small coves in the surrounding area for those who want more peace and seclusion.

The bay of Pollensa is home to an array of luxury yachts, as well as colourful local fishing boats. In the evening, take a stroll along the Pine Walk promenade, a pedestrian walkway overhung by palms and fragrant pines. This stretches from the marina to the beach, past luxury villas and apartments.

Within the Pollensa region is the Albufereta Nature Reserve, covering 150 hectares with canals, lakes and reed beds, a protected home to a wide variety of birds. This peaceful location is about 10km away.

There are a number of attractions as you travel inland. Golf courses, tennis courts and horse riding facilities are all within 10km.
