Casa Arvela provides two-storey accommodation with the main living accommodation and two bedrooms on the ground floor. There is a third bedroom and a separate bathroom on the first floor

Ground Floor

Casa Arvela’s comfortable living room has large cream sofas with brightly coloured scatter cushions set in an L-shape around a glass coffee table in front of a large chimney breast and fireplace. There is a television which has some satellite channels and a DVD player. The dining room is separated from the living area by a partition wall and has a table and chairs to seat your party. The modern and well-equipped kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave as well as an oven, hob and fridge/freezer. There is a separate guest cloakroom with a WC and washbasin.

The two bedrooms on this floor both have twin beds and en suite facilities with bath and overhead shower, WC and washbasin.

First Floor

The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a separate bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, WC and washbasin. The bedroom has access to a large private terrace with views over the pool and gardens - the perfect place to relax in the sunshine with a cup of coffee or a glass of chilled wine.

Outside

The villa is set within beautiful gardens, its well maintained lawns being complemented by colourful scented flower beds. The lovely free-form swimming pool is surrounded by a large paved terrace with ample space for you to lie back on one of the sun-loungers provided or enjoy lunch cooked on the built-in barbecue. Some welcome natural shade is provided by plants overhanging the white-washed wall beside the pool and palm trees on the terrace.

Location

Just a few kilometres from the much livelier resort of Albufeira, Gale has become a popular Algarve holiday destination in its own right thanks to its beautiful beach which has a vast expanse of golden sand lined with beachside bars and cafes with numerous water sports on offer. If you are looking for more privacy, there are numerous small coves and beaches to be found along this stretch of coastline and plenty of clifftop walks to enjoy. Castello beach and Sao Rafael nearby are picturesque coves at the foot of dramatic red sandstone cliffs.
Guia, to the north of Gale, is a pretty village renowned locally for its restaurants serving chicken piri piri, a traditional spiced chicken dish. Guia is also home to Algarve Shopping, a huge commercial centre with a selection of over one hundred shops including a hypermarket, a range of clothes stores and a multiscreen cinema and bowling alley. Children will love the Zoomarine theme park where you can watch sealions and dolphins performing in aquatic shows and marvel at exotic birds and turtles.

Albufeira has grown from a small fishing village into a popular coastal resort whilst retaining much of its charm. The old Moorish part of town has narrow cobbled streets and white-washed fishermen’s cottages, whilst the tourist centre has lively bars, restaurants serving international food and nightclubs which play music late into the night. During the day, you can visit the local market to buy handicrafts and souvenirs or visit one of the resort’s excellent beaches where you can sunbathe, swim in the clear blue water or try out one of the water sports on offer. If you are looking for lively evening entertainment, Albufeira’s popular ‘Strip’ is the place to go where you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs staying open late into the night.

There are many superb golf courses in the Algarve, the nearest being the 18-hole course at Salgados Golf which backs onto the sand dunes at Gale beach with lovely views across the Atlantic
