This large family villa with pool is situated in a peaceful residential area to the south of Javea with views across Javea Bay to Mount Montgo. It has some restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance and is a short distance from the beautiful coastline which is dotted with rocky coves such as Granadella. Some of the beaches are within a half hour stroll of the villa, but if you have a car, the popular Arenal beach in Javea is just a five minute drive away. There are two golf courses close by – the 9-hole Javea Golf near Benitachell and the 18-hole La Sella course towards Denia.

Javea (also known as Xabia) is a lovely coastal town sandwiched between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao, midway between the Spanish cities of Alicante and Valencia. Easily accessible via motorway from the airports of both cities, the area is renowned for its warm summers and mild winters and attracts holidaymakers throughout the year. Frequented by smugglers and pirates during the Middles Ages, the caves and bays along the coast are now popular with snorkellers, sunbathers and scuba divers. Granadella and La Barraca are particularly popular with snorkellers and have beach bar facilities.

The Montgo natural park is a paradise for those who enjoy walking or exploring. The region has a rugged beauty and varied terrain ranging from rocky crags to lush Mediterranean greenery. You can climb to the summit of Montgo at 753m or simply wander the coastal paths at a more leisurely pace. There are fourteen vantage points around Javea which have been specially prepared and waymarked to enable visitors to enjoy the exceptionally scenic views.

The Arenal area of Javea has plenty on offer during the summer months. The bay here has a golden sandy beach which slopes gently into the sea and is edged with bars, shops and restaurants and ice cream parlours. There is a wide range of water sports on offer including sailing, fishing and water ski-ing in the port area. The area is very family-friendly and the beach has good facilities including toilets and showers. In the evenings, you can take a stroll along the promenade and watch the street artists performing, buy souvenirs at the craft stalls set up along the seafront or enjoy the live music which fills the air.

The old town has a maze of narrow streets lined with historical townhouses and beautiful squares. There is also an excellent indoor market selling fresh produce including fruit, cheeses and locally caught fish. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants here, not to mention the traditional tapas bars and art galleries – a great place to explore during the heat of the afternoon.

For families with young children, Benidorm around 50km away, has plenty of fun and entertainment on offer at the Mundomar marine and exotic animal park and the Aqualandia water park. Benidorm is also home to the Terra Mitica theme park where you can try the renowned Tizona roller coaster which reaches speeds of 100km/hour.

Approach

This large, whitewashed villa has an elevated position with views of Javea Bay and Mount Montgo. Casa Bach is set in a quiet residential area within enclosed gardens and has ample parking to the front of the villa. There are three doors at the front of the villa providing independent access to each level if required.

First Floor

The villa’s main entrance is on the first floor. This part of the villa has a spacious living/dining area which is painted white with exposed ceiling beams and a traditional corner fireplace. There are two cream sofas, a satellite television and a circular dining table with seating for six. Patio doors lead to a small terrace at the side of the villa with external steps giving access to the pool terrace.

The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, hob, oven and fridge/freezer. Doors lead from the kitchen to a covered ‘naya’ which is semi-circular in shape and offers a superb view of Mount Montgo through its pretty arches. Comfortably furnished with cushioned easy chairs and a dining table, this area overlooks the pool and is a great place for family meals or quiet relaxation at any time of day.

There are two bedrooms on this floor comprising a double room with a washbasin and a twin room. There is also a separate full bathroom.

Ground Floor

The ground floor has self-contained accommodation for up to ten people so the villa is ideal for two or more families who wish to holiday together whilst retaining some privacy and independence during their stay. There are two double bedrooms and three twin rooms which share the use of a family bathroom and a separate shower room. There is a large kitchen/breakfast room, equipped with a fridge, oven and hob, with patio doors leading conveniently to the pool terrace via a short flight of steps. There is also a comfortable seating area with satellite TV

Outside

The villa has an enclosed garden which has a large sun terrace with a swimming pool and table tennis, mature orange and fig trees and a gravelled area. The garden is bordered by walls and hedges for privacy and has plenty of places for relaxing in the sun or the shade. The 10m x 5m pool is oval-shaped with ladder steps and is surrounded by a paved terrace equipped with sun-loungers, patio furniture and a built-in barbecue so you can enjoy al fresco meals.
