Casa Calamares is one of a delightful cluster of villas set in peaceful surroundings overlooking the ocean.

Ground Floor

Casa Calamares has spacious and comfortable accommodation which is all on one level. The villa has a large living/dining room with pale walls and terracotta tiled floors complementing the pale wood furniture. The room has two floral sofas arranged around the television, which has satellite (restricted channels), and the large patio doors which flood the room with light and lead directly onto the pool terrace. There is a table and chairs to seat six at the opposite end of the room with lovely views of the pool, and a further dining set on the covered terrace outside for those chilled out evenings, eating at the villa. The villa has a separate monochrome kitchen which comes equipped with hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

The bedrooms can also be found on this level. The master double has an en-suite shower room, and there are a further two twin bedrooms which share the full family bathroom. All the bedrooms are comfortably furnished and benefit from fitted wardrobes to store all your holiday clothes.

Outside

The spacious outdoor terrace contains a rectangular 8m x 4m swimming pool with metal ladder access which can be heated in the winter months. Next to the double doors of the living/dining room, there is a large covered terrace complete with outdoor dining furniture and close to the villa’s lovely built in barbecue. The villa comes equipped with ample sun-loungers and parasols for those of your party who enjoy basking in the Canarian sunshine, but the covered terrace provides the cooling refuge of the shade. Surrounding the pool terrace are established green shrubs, and there is also a poolside shower. The villa has beautiful views of the sea, and is the ideal spot for families who enjoy being close to the facilities that Playa Blanca has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Additional Information

Maid service is included twice weekly, along with linen change once a week. There is off road parking available.

Casa Calamares is in peaceful surroundings, but within easy reach of all the facilities that Playa Blanca has to offer. The villa stands in its own gardens with large open and covered terraces, private swimming pool which can be heated in the winter months, and built in barbecue. The villa is ideally situated, only 500m away from local shops, restaurants and the pretty local beach. Nearby there is tennis and a kids mini fun fair and a regular ferry service runs to the nearby island of Fuerteventura.

The new Rubicon Marina has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and ice creams parlours. Playa Blanca is well known for its white sandy beaches and has a seafront promenade lined with restaurants and bars, with many places offering freshly caught seafood. Evening entertainment is fairly low key and based mainly around the resort’s hotels and restaurants with some live music shows on offer.

You can take wonderful coastal walks in both directions along the new coastal walkway that stretches across the resort. Around 8km to the east of Playa Blanca are the renowned golden sandy beaches of Papagayo which can be reached by car via a dirt track.

The incredible Timanfaya National Park is an interesting place to visit, its strange ‘lunar’ landscape shaped by volcanic eruptions many years ago. In the north of the island is the Jameos del Agua, an exotic water garden designed by the local artist Cesar Manrique and set in an underground lava tunnel.
Golfers may like to take a drive to the island’s only golf course, 45km away (approximately 50 minutes drive) at Costa Teguise. Golf Costa Teguise is an eighteen hole course set at the foot of an extinct volcano overlooking the Atlantic and is surrounded by palms and cactuses. Here you will also find a large water park with attractions including rapids, slides, trampolines, bouncy castles and various restaurants and shops.
