Casa Camilla is located on the pretty residential estate of Quinta dos Alamos. A private and secluded area with no shops, restaurants or bars, holiday makers come here to enjoy the peace and quiet.

For all those holiday necessities you needn’t go far, however, as the pretty village of Guia is within easy walking distance. Here you will find a number of shops, banks, bakeries, a pharmacy and can visit the daily market. There are also a number of fine restaurants including several good quality piri-piri- chicken places for which the area is known. So, you can enjoy the eating out experience without having to forego the opportunity to have a glass of wine.

For those who prefer to have a larger selection of shops to choose from, the Algarve now has the vast Algarve Shopping centre, which has a supermarket, cinema, bowling alley and is a double storey mall with several familiar international brands including The Body Shop, Zara and Mango. Conveniently the cinema here even shows films in English – great if you fancy a night at the flicks!

Some spectacular Algarve beaches line the coast nearby. Praia de Gale is only 6km away and is a 5km long sandy stretch with gorgeous cliff-top walks. Well served by a good selection of beach side facilities, the beach also has a number of water sports on offer. A little further away is Sao Raphael, another lovely place to visit, and for those seeking the beach fun of a large established resort, then Albufeira is only a 10 minute drive. Albufeira also has a colourful marina, pretty old town and a lively and varied nightlife for those seeking a little more action.

For those who enjoy visiting the Algarve for its world class golfing facilities, the nearest course is Salgados (5km) and Balaia Golf is 12km away. A little further along the coast are the numerous excellent courses at Vilamoura and Vale do Lobo.

Those with children to entertain are similarly spoilt for choice. There are a number of water parks in the Algarve, the closest of which is Aqualand in Alcantarilha, a 10 minute drive from the villa. A little further afield (20 minutes) you will find the mini golf courses and zoo at Krazyworld in Algoz, and right on the doorstep you will find Zoomarine, where the over-eights can swim with dolphins.

Casa Camilla is a pretty single storey white-washed villa set in picturesque surrounds in the quiet area of Quinta dos Alamos.

Ground Floor

The living space of Casa Camilla is a bright and spacious area with the traditional whitewashed walls and tiled floors which you associate with holiday villas in the Algarve. The comfortable seating area has sunny furnishings grouped around the room’s chimney breast and wood-burning stove. There are shelf units flanking the corner fireplace on which you will find the villa’s television, which has a selection of satellite channels. Windows keep the room light and allow cool breezes in during the day, and there are patio doors which lead from here out onto the covered dining terrace by the pool.

There is a dining table with enough seating for your party and the kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with hob/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience.

All the villa’s bedrooms are on this level. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room with shower, wc and wash basin. This pretty room has large patio doors which lead out into the garden and afford you pretty views whilst lazing on the bed with a book. There are two further bedrooms, both with twin beds which share the separate bathroom, which has a bath, wc and wash basin. There is also a guest cloakroom.

Outside

One of the most delightful aspects of this villa is its grounds. Set in large private gardens, the villa has its own private pool set among pretty lawns and bordered by sweet-smelling flowers. The spiky shrubs and leafy palm trees that are so common in the Algrave keep the garden private and provide some dappled shade during the heat of the day. There are also a number of well-kept planters with trees and shrubs which finish a delightful outdoor area. The long covered terrace flanks the pool and is a refuge from the heat of the day, not to mention a picturesque place to make use of the villa’s barbecue and dine out in the warmth of the summer evenings. Conveniently situated right next to the living area, the terrace has easy access to the house, which is perfect for nipping in for a quenching drink. There are a number of sun loungers and parasols to make the most of lounging in the sunshine and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area.

Maid service is included 3 times per week, and there is weekly towel and linen change. This villa has a minimum 7 day rental period.
