Approach

Casa Cardeira is an attractive coral-coloured villa in a residential setting close to Lagos Marina. This newly built villa has a modern and stylish interior and is surrounded by a walled garden.

Ground Floor

The villa’s four air-conditioned bedrooms are all situated on the ground floor and are well-furnished in a simple, uncluttered style and have pale walls and tiled flooring throughout. The two light and airy double bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and sliding French doors to the garden. There is a twin bedroom with an en suite shower room and French windows opening to the terrace. The fourth bedroom also has twin beds and benefits from direct access to the pool and a luxurious en suite bathroom with a bubble jet bath.

First Floor

The villa has a spacious open-plan living area fronted by two sets of sliding doors to a sun terrace with lovely sea views. To one side of the room is a comfortable living area with a wood-burning stove and two large modern sofas arranged around a coffee table and rug. There is a television with some satellite channels and also a DVD player and HiFi system for your entertainment. At the other side of the room there is a white sideboard and a dining area furnished with a rectangular dining table and chairs for six. The room is painted in white and has air-conditioning.

The luxurious new kitchen opens off the living area and has sleek fitted units and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, integral oven and microwave. There is a breakfast bar area with three bar stools and a door to a balcony which is equipped with a barbecue and outdoor dining furniture. There is also a guest cloakroom on this level.

Casa Cardeira is situated approximately 500 metres along the road from Lagos Marina, with easy access to the main town across the water. The marina itself bustles with yachts and cruisers and has an array of waterfront shops and restaurants. The beautiful golden sands at Meia Praia are within walking distance of the villa and there is a choice of beach bars and restaurants here. For those seeking an active holiday, there are tennis courts, mini-golf and horse riding nearby as well as the water sports on offer along the coastline, including windsurfing, water skiing and diving.

All along the Algarve coast there are beautiful sandy beaches, from Alvor in the east to Praia da Luz in the west. The nearest beach is the beautiful Meia Praia, a 4km long stretch of fine white sand lined with beach bars and restaurants. This area of the Algarve has a record number of beaches which have been awarded the ‘Blue Flag’ for cleanliness. The bay at Praia da Luz is considered to be one of the Algarve’s finest beaches with its fine white sands and warm turquoise water. Popular with families because of its gently sloping nature, it is well served by a few beachside cafes and a variety of water sports are on offer in summer. Its colourful sandstone cliffs provide beautiful cliff-top walks and at one end are the locally renowned ‘rocha negra’ or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.

Lagos is a historic maritime city, Vasco da Gama having set sail from here in 1499. The main square, Praca da Republica is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee and watch the world go by, and there is a good selection of restaurants and shops along its pedestrianised main street. The city has a stylish marina and a working harbour where fisherman still bring in their hauls. Street entertainers add to the lively and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The town buzzes with life at night, with countless bars offering speciality cocktails. If you are looking for holiday souvenirs, there are numerous boutiques selling wickerwork, jewellery and leather goods. There are plenty of sites of historic interest including the governor’s castle and the Church of St. Sebastian, and on a less savoury note, the city was home to some of the earliest slave markets.

Families with children may enjoy a day out at Lagos Zoo which is set in lovely landscaped gardens with exotic animals and plants, or the Slide and Splash water park near Lagoa. Golfing enthusiasts are spoilt for choice in the Algarve but the nearest course is the eighteen hole Palmares Golf at Lagos which has splendid views over the coast.

Excellent service from Villas to Go Staff and having gone in several villas with them they are always clean and well presented.

Ideally located , 10 min walk to Marina , 10 min walk in opposite direction to the beach and if you want to go into Lagos 15 / 20 mins walk over the foot bridge. Villa in peaceful area with sea views from balcony.

I would recommend the villas To Go as rhe villa accommindated our family of seven with ease,it was clean and well equipped with all facilities.

The Marina,Bars and Restaurants were a five minuets walk from our villa in one direction.In the opposite direction was a five minuets walk to the Beach and Restuarants.A car is not essencial as local busses run to nearby holiday resorts.

great beach 5 - 10 minutes walk, centre of lagos less than 10 mins walk. Option to use local train or bus - stations very close to villa. Villa in a quiet location with lovely views of the sea. Great choice of restaurants nearby, excellent for fresh fish.
