This charming villa is furnished to a high standard and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living areas, a double bedroom and en suite shower room are situated on the split level ground floor with two further bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

Approach

The road to the villa goes through a river ford and the villa enjoys a peaceful and private location at the end of a drive. There is a smart paved area to the front of the villa with a garden and swimming pool on the lefthand side. There are views of the Tramuntana mountains in the distance.

Ground Floor

The villa has a spacious open plan living/dining area with pale tiled floors, clean white walls and a lovely beamed ceiling. There is a sitting area at one end with comfortable sofas grouped around a low oblong coffee table and wickerwork stools. There is a wall mounted flat screen television with some satellite channels and a DVD player which is useful for keeping children amused when they need some time out of the sun. Also at this end of the room is a staircase at the far end and glazed doors opening to a vine clad pergola terrace. The dining area has a circular table and ladder back chairs for six people in front of a large wooden dresser.

The kitchen opens off the living area and is ultra modern with sleek wood units, stainless steel appliances and granite worktops. It has a dishwasher, microwave, American style fridge/freezer, oven and ceramic hob and also a breakfast area. Doors from the kitchen lead conveniently to the pool terrace and barbecue area. There is a separate guest cloakroom on the ground floor, a step up from the living area.

A ramp leads up to a lovely double bedroom furnished simply with a wooden double bed, bedside tables and lights, a chest of drawers and a large fitted wardrobe. This room has a luxurious en suite shower room with a large walk-in shower cubicle, a washbasin vanity unit and a WC.

First Floor

A marble staircase with banister rails leads from the living room to a landing which has a door to a small roof terrace. There is another delightful double bedroom with views across the gardens, and a light and airy twin room with a sloping beamed ceiling and full length windows. These two rooms share a separate en suite shower room. All three bedrooms have air conditioning if required.

Outside

The villa has pretty gardens to the front of the villa with a rectangular pool which has integral corner steps and a slightly raised edge. There are sun-loungers provided for your party and also a built-in barbecue and sink by the side of the pool which is ideal for making the most of the sunshine with al fresco meals. The pool house has a convenient shower room and a separate laundry room containing a washing machine.

Adjacent to the villa is a lovely vine covered terrace which is furnished with a table and chairs – the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

Location

Casa Chico has a peaceful and private location just 1km from the lovely old town of Pollensa with a dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains, some 8km inland from the coastal resort of Puerto Pollensa. The road to the villa takes you through a river ford and this charming villa is ideal for a tranquil and relaxing villa holiday in the sun. The Old Town has a selection of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance and there is also a 9 hole golf course nearby. Pollensa Bay with its beautiful coastline and sandy beaches is a short drive away.

Pollensa Old Town has Roman origins and evidence of a bygone era can be found all around you in the narrow winding streets. There is a range of traditional craft shops, boutiques and pavement cafes hiding in the maze of cobbled streets waiting to be discovered. The town’s main square Placa Major is a lovely place to enjoy an evening meal, and it plays host to a Sunday morning market which sells an array of fresh local produce and traditional handicrafts.

Puerto Pollensa is around 8km from the villa and has a great beach with excellent beachside facilities – ice-cream shops, kiosks, sun beds and parasols for hire, not to mention the range of water sports on offer – waterskiing, jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing to name a few. Boat trips depart from here on island excursions, including one that heads up the coast to the Formentor peninsular, taking in some of the more secluded coves along the way. The nightlife here is fairly low key and centred around the family-friendly restaurants in the resort. A pleasant evening activity is to take a stroll along the ‘Pine Walk’ which is a palm lined promenade with an array of restaurants and bars. Puerto Pollensa has a colourful local market on Wednesdays.

Alcudia to the south of the bay is a bustling port with a large range of shops, restaurants and boutiques and a lovely beach. Evening entertainment here is more varied and lively, with some discos and clubs staying open late. For families with children and teenagers, there is a aqua park featuring plenty of exciting rides.. The old town of Alcudia is a beautifully preserved medieval walled city and has a network of narrow streets and remnants of Roman architecture including amphitheatre.
