Approach
Casa das Palmeiras is approached by a paved driveway, and the front of the property has spiky exotic plants framed by low white-washed walls with space to park the car.
Ground Floor
The villa opens into a hallway which leads into a large L-shaped living/dining room with cool tiled floors and white-washed walls. Two armchairs and a sofa are gathered around a coffee table in the cosy seating area, and there is a television which has some satellite channels and a DVD player. Large patio doors lead out onto the pool terrace, and keep the room bright and airy. For our guests in the winter months, there is an open fireplace with tapered chimney breast – perfect to take the chill off the out of season night air.
The other section of the room houses the oval glass dining table with chairs for six people. There is a serving hatch from this room into the galley kitchen, which has base and eye-level wooden units and comes equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Also leading off the dining room is one of the bedrooms, which is furnished with a wooden double bed, and has an en-suite bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms are at the other end of the villa, and both have twin beds.
These two rooms share the other separate bathroom and the villa has a guest cloakroom.
Outside
Casa das Palmeiras has its own private pool and the surrounding terrace has plenty of sun-loungers for you to bask in the glow of the summer sun. For those who prefer the cool of the shade, there are parasols and a covered terrace area with dining table and chairs to take advantage of alfresco dining and the barbecue in the warm evenings. The roof terrace offers wonderful views of the ocean, and is a lovely place to sunbathe.
Additional Information
Maid service, linen and towels, beach towels and hairdrier included.
Casa das Palmeiras is linked to a neighbouring property only by the exterior steps to the roof terrace. There is a supplement for heating the pool at £120 per week. For the cooler months, there is heating in the bedrooms (included) and a wood burner in the living room, for which logs can be purchased locally.
Air conditioning available in master bedroom and living room - £85 per week supplement payable.

Just a few hundred meters of the villa are local shops and restaurants. For a wider choice, Carvoeiro centre is only 2.5km away where a large selection of bars and restaurants can be found, as well at the town’s lovely beach. The nearest shop is only 400m away – ideal for those last minute essentials, and the closest restaurant is only 400m, perfect for walking quickly home after a couple of glasses of wine.
Carvoeiro was originally a sleepy fishing village, but in recent years it has grown into a flourishing resort. Despite the impact of tourism, however, the town has managed to retain its originally charm, and fishermen still bring their catches home every day to sort in the town’s harbour. The small sandy beach is lined with colourful fishing boats, and the fishermen’s fare can be found in the fish restaurants of the town. The small beach has water sports on offer and is popular with all types of holidaymakers, so can be a little crowded in the height of the season. However, there are many little coves close by for those who prefer a quieter scent.
Along the beachfront, there are several bars and restaurants as well as small supermarkets and boutiques. Away from the beach, the cobbled streets of the old town hark back to a different era, and are lined with quaint shops selling local crafts and market stalls heave with locally produced fresh goods.
For those with kids, good attractions nearby include…
• ZooMarine - an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. If you pre-book it, you can also enjoy the magical experience of swimming with dolphins (for a rather pricey fee, somewhere around £80). ZooMarine is situated in Guia, and the park runs bus services from Carvoeiro to the park.
• Aqualand - plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. Located in Alcantarilha, there are limited bus services, the nearest is from Armacao de Pera, about 6km away.
Customer Reviews
peaceful, good food
Lovely clean villa, exactly like it is in the photos, very friendly staff who are there to help whenever you need them!! Just an amzing , stress free way of doing things!
The beach was beautiful, and even on really hot days, never felt over crowded. The bars and restaurants are all great, with very friendly staff, who are happy to cater to your every whim. Just in general a very nice, not over crowded town, where you feel the people are there for you.
Good service, beautiful villa. Very well presented and excellent information given before travel.
Nice small coves which can be found away from main beaches. Very lively town but also not far from the more tranquil mountain region.
Our villa was lovely & this was our second time staying there. The staff at Villas To Go were helpful when we needed them. The villa representatives were extremely helpful & assisted us in getting back quite a lot of money that my daughter accidentally left in the villa when we had left for home.
Carvoeiro is a beautiful village with everything you would need when on holiday. It is an ideal place to stay for families with young children or older couples; not too noisy with very few nightclubs!!
Everything is in the villa you could ever want and everything explained , the communication with every one is amazing and run s smoothly very inpressed with the services.
Nice pleasant area
When we originally booked the villa we were unsure if it would live up to our expectations. On arrival the villa was everything we expected, and more. The maid service was very good, and the gardens and the pool were well maintained.
The nearby Villa Nova resort was very friendly and the food was really good. The peace and quiet would encourage others to stay in this area.
Ours was very clean and well equiped including your Villas to Go beach towels. Efficient booking service.
A fine choice of restaurants and very nice clean beaches in and around the area. Definitely not noisy.
First & foremost the price was the best factor, very reasonable & much cheaper than other companies. The villa itself was beautiful; spacious, clean & kitted out with everything you need. We definately plan to return.....sooon!
Carvoeiro itself is a delightful little village with a wide range of restaurants ranging in price from reasonable to quite expensive. There are plenty of interesting shops too including grocery stores but there is a large supermarket situated just a few miles outside the village. There are also plenty of places to access the internet; ideal for checking emails!!
The villas are 1st class with everything spot on , the swimming pool was great.I was very happy with the sercurity shutters as it gave me a reassurance that the place was sercure at night and that my children was safe, i would reccomend a holiday in one of the villas and i would come back agin.
Nice quite area , the town was a 15 min walk away and the restraunts was good but one or two one the expensive side, if you need to get out and see the sights then i would recommend getting a hire car. I would also reccomend visiting zoomarine as it was a fantastic day out for all the family.
That the description was very accurate, and the villa was in excellent condition.
Area is beautiful, very relaxing, fantastic restaurants, not too busy
