Casa do Poco is an impressive 4 bedroom villa where accommodation is laid out over two floors. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor with access to the pool terrace, and the fourth is on the upper level with the main living accommodation.

First Floor

As you walk into the entrance hall, there is a bathroom and twin bedroom off to the left. To the right are a few stairs, which lead up to the spacious living area of the villa. The large living room is a bright room which is stylishly furnished with colourful sofas gathered around a fireplace in a white chimney breast. The white-washed walls compliment the cool tiled floor, and the room is peppered with lush green plants. The room has a television which has some satellite channels and a CD player, along with French doors which lead out onto a large balcony with impressive views of Praia da Luz.

This is a large open plan room, and at the opposite end is the dining table, which has seating for 8, and the open plan kitchen. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. It has base and eye level units. It also has doors which open onto the balcony.

Ground Floor

On the lower floor are the villa’s remaining bedrooms. There are two twin rooms and a double which has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a further full bathroom which is shared by the two twin rooms. All the bedrooms downstairs have sliding patio doors which lead out onto the terrace, with lovely views of the pool.

Outside

Outside, the garden and pool area are enclosed by white-washed low walls which ensure privacy and seclusion for those wishing to sunbathe at the water’s edge. The freestyle shaped pool has integral steps for easy access and is set in mature gardens, which have been recently landscaped, and which have a water feature. The terrace is spacious and equipped with sun loungers and parasols, and has outdoor dining furniture and a built-in barbecue for eating out on those warm summer evenings.

Additional Information

Maid service is included 3 times per week, as are linen and towels. The changeover day is Saturday.

Location

Casa do Poco is situated on the new Monte Lemos development to the west of the village of Praia da Luz in the western Algarve.

Luz, in the western Algarve is a popular destination with families and couples alike because of its splendid sandy beach, well known for its good water sports, including windsurfing, boating, waterskiing and diving. The village retains a traditional Portuguese charm with its winding cobbled streets and quaint white-washed houses, which blend easily with the demands of modern tourism. There is an array of interesting restaurants in the village along with two good beach bars. For a wide selection, Lagos is nearby and has a more lively nightlife with some discos. Further west is Sagres, which is the most south-westerly point in Europe, and the place where Portuguese explorers set forth to navigate the globe.

Lagos is 16km away, and is a historic maritime city which has links with Henry the Navigator. The pedestrianised main street is lined with restaurants and open-air cafes and Praca da Republica, the main square is a great place for people watching, and taking advantage of the street entertainment on offer. Lagos’ importance during the Age of Discovery finds the streets steeped in history, and it is also the site of the earliest slave market in Europe. Historic sites include the governor’s castle and the church of St Sebastian.
