Casa dos Tres Bicos is located in a quiet residential part of north east Albufeira. The nearest beach is Albufeira’s main beach, 6km away; plenty more beaches can be reached by car. The closest supermarket and restaurant are just 1km away, making it easy to pop out on foot for some fresh bread.

Once a traditional fishing village, Albufeira is now a sprawling town with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can admire the array of white yachts in the newly completed marina in the west. Alternatively, you could stroll around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen’s houses.

Many of the beaches have water sports on offer throughout the summer, and there are plenty of golf courses, tennis courts and horse riding facilities found all around the Algarve. The nearest golf course to the villa is Balaia Golf Course, a 9-hole course 5km away.

Nearby attractions for those with children include;
• ZooMarine- an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. About 3km away in neighbouring Guia.
• Slide and Splash – a huge water park with pools, Jacuzzis, slides and rapids that can keep the whole family amused for a day. There are plenty of grassy areas for relaxing and picnicking and because the grounds are so large, it doesn’t get too crowded. Located north of the town on the N125

Approach

Casa dos Tres Bicos is located along a quiet, leafy street in the north east of Albufeira. There is parking space at the front of the villa and steps up to the front door.

Ground Floor

The front door opens to a light and airy entrance hall. From here you enter the open-plan living and dining room, divided by a dual-aspect stone fire place. The cosy living area has comfortable sofas, a coffee table and satellite TV. There is also a bar area where you can prepare mixed drinks and cocktails to take out to the terrace. The dining area has a polished wooden dresser and dining table for eight. From here, a corridor leads to the modern kitchen, fully-equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and TV.

Three of the bedrooms are located downstairs. The double bedroom and one of the twin bedrooms are reached via a lobby leading off the entrance hall. The double bedroom is beautifully decorated in white and cream and has a large mirrored wardrobe. Patio doors lead out to the pool terrace, perfect for those who enjoy a quiet, early morning swim. Opposite the fully-tiled bathroom is a twin bedroom with cosy beds and twin nightstands. The other twin bedroom is accessed from the living room. As the villa is elevated, even the bedrooms enjoy pleasant views of the leafy neighbourhood.

First Floor

Upstairs is a living area with a sofa-bed that sleeps two adults, enabling the villa to accommodate up to twelve people. In the corner of the living room is a doorway to a spacious twin bedroom that has the use of a separate shower room. Across the landing is the master double bedroom with a private balcony and en suite bathroom with corner bath.

Outside

From the living area, you step out onto a partially covered pool terrace. In the shade are garden furniture and a barbeque – perfect for al fresco dining on balmy evenings. The L-shaped seawater pool bends around a sunbathing platform with sunloungers and parasols. Steps lead gently into the shallow end of the pool for easy access. From the elevated pool terrace, you can enjoy views across the surrounding leafy gardens and terracotta roofs.

From the terrace, steps lead down to the private rose garden. Loving tended by the owner, this beautiful garden is full of flowers and secret corners that the children will enjoy exploring. The shade-dappled garden offers a choice of quiet spots to escape to for some private reading.
