Casa Imelda is situated just 1km from the charming Spanish white-village of Monda, with its local bars, restaurants, its famous Castle and the Marbella Gun and Country Club.
Monda, however, is only a 20 minute drive from the chic and cosmopolitan city of Marbella is a short drive from the villa and is surrounded by spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. The area has a fantastic choice of sun drenched beaches and a huge range of sporting activities on offer including tennis, sailing and water sports.
The old town has plenty of art galleries, museums, shops and restaurants. The city’s stunning ‘Orange Square’ has a 15th century fountain flanked by orange trees and stately buildings including the Town Hall. Take an evening stroll along the ‘Avenida del Mar’, a coastal promenade which is beautifully landscaped and lined with bars and smart restaurants.
A short drive to the east is Mijas, a beautiful village nestling in the mountains above Fuengirola and Mijas Costa with spectacular views of the sea. The village has rows of whitewashed houses adorned with brightly coloured geraniums and has a charming laid back atmosphere. The narrow streets are crammed with tiny craft shops and boutiques – you can explore the village by ‘burro’ which is the local donkey taxi service!
Puerto Banus, with its designer shops and exclusive restaurants, is another 5 minutes to the west, and the popular tourist town of Fuengirola, twenty minutes to the east.
A thirty minute drive from Monda takes you to the lakes at Ardeles, and Malaga airport is around 40 minutes drive.
