This family villa is situated in a slightly elevated position on a peaceful, residential area on the small resort of Vale St Antonio, which has communal faculties such as a pool, tennis courts and crazy golf course (charges payable). The Atlantic-lapped beaches and many world-class golf courses are only roughly a kilometre away.

The golden, sandy beaches of the Algarve are popular with local surfers and the families holidaying in Vale do Lobo. As well as golf, horse-riding and tennis, there are plenty of water sports on offer along this section of the Atlantic coast.

There are many golf courses nearby; the nearest being the Royal and Ocean courses on the neighbouring Vale do Lobo development, approximately 2km from the villa. Alternatively, Quinta do Lago South (the course used for the Portuguese open) and Quinta do Lago North are approximately 4km away.

Vale St Antonio has a supermarket and restaurant, about 300m and 500m, respectively, from the property. There are plenty more cafes and restaurants lining the sophisticated sea-front Praça (or promenade) along Vale do Lobo beach; here you can dine al fresco on the terraces and watch the world go by.

Nearby attractions include the ‘Aqua Show’ water park, a 15 minute drive from Vale do Lobo and the Zoo-Marine sea life centre theme park in Albufeira, approximately 25km away. The inland town of Loulé, 15 minutes by car, has a craft market every Saturday.

Approach

As you approach the villa through the streets of this residential area, you pass white washed villas and tall green pine trees. The white walls and red tiled roof of Casa Loendro is nestled amongst tall trees and from the car, you walk up to the house and through the front door in to the living area.

Ground Floor

The main, living area of this family villa is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, arranged around a central fireplace with a brick surround. In the warm Portuguese climate, you’ll probably find yourself spending the majority of your time outside, and the large sliding doors out to the garden from the living area form an effortless connection between the interior and exterior. The spacious, functional kitchen has a table and chairs to seat six, and is well-equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. This room also has a door leading out to the garden.
Three of the bedrooms are found on the ground floor. Their wooden beds and neutral fabrics complement the simple white walls and smooth, tiled floors; creating a cool, calm feeling. All are furnished with twin beds and have doors opening out on to the garden area, so there is not far to go in the morning for an awakening splash into the pool. One of the twin bedrooms has its own en-suite shower room, whilst the other two share a separate large bathroom with a bath and free-standing shower cubicle.

First Floor

A staircase takes you to the upper floor and the master suite, with a full bathroom and a double bedroom, with doors opening out on to a private terrace that overlooks the pool. Perhaps, after the kids have gone to bed, you could enjoy a glass of wine here as you gaze up at the stars in the night sky.

Outside

The villa is surrounded by mature, well-kept gardens with a large expanse laid to lawn and partly shaded by mature trees. There are low hedges and flowering shrubs bordering the property. The large, private pool is set within a tiled, sun terrace, and there are plenty of sun-loungers placed around it for sitting and soaking up the sun. If you want an extra activity to enjoy, there is a table-tennis table available on request.
