Casa Louisa is set on two levels, with the entrance and main living space on the first floor; making the most of the beautiful elevated views. The ground floor has separate, external access and is on the pool terrace/garden level.

Approach

The large veranda at Casa Louisa gazes out across the bustling Algarve landscape towards the blue Atlantic Ocean, just 2km at Praia da Luz. With seven bedrooms across two floors; this spacious and modern villa is a great choice for large parties of friends holidaying together.
The road leading up to Casa Louisa is lined with small groves of leafy trees and the odd white-washed villa. The front driveway offers room for parking and leads to the main entrance on the first floor.

Ground Floor

An external staircase leads from the first floor balcony down to the pool terrace level and the entrance into this separate floor. This separate floor is unused, and closed off, when the villa is rented as a 4-bedroom property. The three bedrooms are all fitted with double beds, and furnished in a similar way with bedside cabinets, reading lamps and storage space. Two tiled bathrooms serve these rooms; both contain full bathtubs, over-bath showers, toilets and washbasins. There is also another well-furnished living/dining room opening onto a small veranda with steps to the pool terrace.

First Floor

The front door opens on to this elevated level. Casa Louisa is cosily and comfortable decorated throughout with honey-coloured wooden floors and white walls. The entrance hall leads along a central hallway and through double doors to the cosy and homely living room. Here there is an exposed stone wall with a feature fireplace inset with a wood-burner, two sofas, an armchair and coffee table. Patio doors open to a terrace with views across the landscape to the nearby Atlantic Ocean. There is also a TV with satellite reception and a CD player.
A stone archway leads from the living room through to a dining room where there is a dark wood table and eight chairs. Patio doors overlook the blue of the pool below and distant landscape.
A wooden breakfast bar with two chairs separates the dining area from the modern, open-plan kitchen. Fitted with a range of pale wooden units, stainless steel accessories and a glossy black worktop, this kitchen is fully-equipped. It includes a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and integral oven and five-ringed gas hob. A wooden door opens from the side of the kitchen, back into the central hallway.
The four bedrooms on the level are all similarly furnished with double beds, bedside tables and storage space. Two have their own en-suites, whilst the remaining two share the use of a full tiled bathroom.

Outside

Patio doors open from the first floor living and dining rooms on to a large veranda with far-reaching views across the landscape to the nearby blue of the Atlantic Ocean. Here there is a large garden table and chairs; inviting you to sit and admire the view as you indulge in a long, lazy lunch.
An external staircase winds down to the sun-filled pool terrace. This large paved area is bordered by white rope fencing and thick green hedges. The private pool has roman-ended integral steps to lead you gradually into the cool water. Lined around the poolside are plenty of sunloungers for lazing in the warm sun, and to the side is a shaded barbecue area.

Location

Casa Louisa is located in a semi-rural position, down a quiet lane, 3km from the sandy coast of Luz. It’s seven bedrooms and large private pool make it a great choice for a large party of friends or families holidaying together. The city of Lagos is just 5km away and offers a wealth of restaurants, shops and attractions.

The beach at Luz is only 2km away; this popular fishing port retains much of its traditional charm but also has a bustling cosmopolitan atmosphere. Its beach ‘Praia da Luz’ is one of the Algarve’s finest with fine, white sands and warm turquoise waters. It is well served by a few beachside cafes and water sports are on offer in summer. Its colourful sandstone cliffs provide beautiful cliff-top walks and at one end are the locally renowned ‘rocha negra’ or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.

5km away is the historic maritime city of Lagos. This relaxed and charming city offers a great selection of restaurants; the biggest concentration of which is found in the pedestrianised street. Lined with open-air cafes, the main square of Praca da Republica is the best place to indulge in a cool drink and a spot of people watching. There are often lots of street entertainers as well; everything from magicians to clowns and living statues.
Proud of its history, Lagos played an important part in the Age of Discovery and Henry the Navigator had his ships built here. It was also home to some of the earliest slave markets. Its rich, long history ensures that there are plenty of buildings and historic sites worth visiting; the governor’s castle and the church of St Sebastian being two of them.

• Lagos Zoo: set in lovely landscaped gardens with exotic plants, this zoo contains 250 different animals and offers the chance to get close to a variety of species. There is an educational farm, souvenir shop and restaurant. Located between Sao Joao and Bensafrim.
• Slide and Splash: one of Europe’s biggest water parks that aims to keep you busy for a whole day with is range of plunging and gentle slides, swimming pools and a lazy rubber ring river. Approx 25km away near Lagoa.
