Casa Maggi is situated in secluded gardens, on the small residential development of Quinta da Rosal. Only 4km from the picturesque large village of Carvoeiro, this spacious and well-equipped villa is an ideal choice for families. There are amenities and facilities on site, as well as your own private pool and gardens. Sandy beaches and many attractions are just a short drive away.

The Quinta do Rosal development has two tennis courts, a communal pool with separate children’s splash pool, table tennis, table football and a small playground. It also has a snack bar/internet café, mini-market and restaurant.

The stunning, sandy Marinha beach is about 3km away, and has dramatic cliffs and beautiful tunnels and formations in the rocks. There are 116 steps down to the beach, but the route is fairly even and well-maintained.

Carvoeiro, 4km away was once a sleepy fishing village but has grown steadily throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. It has a small sandy beach where there are water sports on offer in summer, but it can become quite crowded. Its streets are lined with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll away from the beach towards the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and you will find quaint craft shops and market stalls selling local goods.

• Aqualand Water Park – plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. About 10km away
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. Approx 16km away.
• Krazy World – a family attraction with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day. Approx. 23km away

Approach

This white and yellow painted villa is situated on the Quinta do Rosal resort; a small, peaceful residential development. Casa Maggi is set in its own secluded gardens with a private pool and covered terraces that are perfect for al fresco dining. From the road, a small driveway leads to the front of the villa where the main door brings you into a small entrance hall.

Ground Floor

This comfortable villa mixes a traditional feel with modern style and conveniences. Throughout there are white walls, terracotta tiled floors and beautiful wooden features such as exposed ceiling beams. The front door opens into a small hallway leading right to the bedrooms and left to the living space.
The high-ceilinged livig/dining room contains a large sitting area with two colourful sofas, a wicker armchair and coffee table arranged in front of an original open fireplace. A small shelf on the right holds the TV, DVD and video (Note: you can hire DVDs and videos at reception). In one corner is a polished wood oval table and four chairs.
A door leads to the kitchen which is fitted with a range of wooden units at base and eye level. There is a white worktop with integral sink and the kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. A door opens on to a covered patio and pool terrace.
Casa Maggi has three bedrooms; the master bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets with small reading lamps, a wardrobe and an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower cubicle. The window looks out to the covered patio and across to the pool.
There are two further rooms; both furnished with twin beds, bedside cabinets and small reading lamps. These share a separate tiled shower room with toilet, washbasin and walk-in shower.

Outside

The sun-filled gardens of Casa Maggi have generous areas of shaded and covered terracing and are secluded by tall, neighbouring pine trees. There are some pretty exposed stone walls and small colourful hedges. To the side of the villa is a dining terrace with a pergola overhead, here there is a garden table and chairs and a built-in barbecue. Here you could cook up a storm on the barbecue and enjoy a lazy dinner in the warm evening sun.
Between this area and the main pool terrace, steps lead up at the corner to a roof terrace with nice views over the gardens and surrounding area. This spot is also great for secluded sunbathing or star-gazing late at night, staring up at the glittering skies.
A door from the kitchen leads out to another covered terrace to the back of the house. From here two small steps down lead to the lower pool terrace. The private pool has integral steps to lead you gently into the cool water. Around the poolside is are sunlungers for lazing in the sun, and a poolside shower – handy for washing off sand when you return from the beach.

Additional Information

The development has a snack bar/internet café at the communal poolside as well as a mini-market selling basic essentials. The restaurant features a weekly family barbecue night where there is live music, and also romantic candlelit evenings for adults only on a Friday between October and June. Baby-sitting services can be arranged.

The helpful reception is open 9.30 - 5.30, 7 days a week from April to October (and Mon-Fri in winter), it can offer you local advice and DVD/Video hire.

Cots, highchairs and fans are available for supplements payable locally per week.
This house has a Thursday changeover and minimum 7 day stay. Should you require other days or dates our sales staff with be happy to request these for you.

Please bring your own equipment to use the tennis courts.

Golf packages are on offer during the winter months.
