This three-bedroom villa is arranged on one floor.

Approach

Casa Olivia is located in a pleasant residential area near the village of Guia, to the west of Albufeira. From the road, a driveway leads to the neat white villa which is set in private gardens.

Ground Floor

Casa Olivia is bright and airy, and tastefully decorated. The spacious living and dining room is open-plan, and has French windows leading out to the pool terrace and gardens. The living area has comfortable sofas and brightly coloured scatter cushions that are perfect for curling up on for a cool siesta. You will also find a CD player and satellite TV.

On the other side of the room is the dining area, with a wooden dining table to seat six.

The dining area leads into the homely kitchen, which is fully equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Across the hallway are the bedrooms. The two double bedrooms are comfortably furnished, with twin nightstands and fitted wardrobes, and each has an en suite bathroom. The twin bedroom has cosy beds, fitted wardrobes and has the use of a separate shower room.

Outside

French windows lead out to a covered terrace, furnished for al fresco dining. Beside the house is a separate barbeque terrace, with a large stone barbeque that is perfect for family meals cooked fresh on the sizzling grill.

The pool is just a few steps from the dining terrace. The pool is a good size, measuring 10m by 5m, and has steps leading into the water for easy access. Beside the pool is a sun terrace, with plenty of sunloungers that can be placed in the sun or shade. During cooler months, the pool can be comfortably heated.

Surrounding the pool terrace and villa are private gardens, with two mature olive trees that cast dappled shade across the grassy lawns.

Location

Casa Olivia is located just outside Guia, within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. With the village so near by, you can easily pop out for a loaf of bread, or leave the car at home when you go out for dinner. Gale Beach, just 6km away, is a beautiful expanse of sand that stretches for miles between picturesque cliffs. Salgados Golf is set back from Gale Beach with 18-holes and lots of water hazards.

Guia is colloquially known as the 'restaurant village' with a range of restaurants offering everything from the famous piri-piri chicken to gourmet French cuisine. It is also home to the popular ZooMarine ocean theme park; set amongst lakes and gardens this park offers a variety of live shows, rides and exhibitions to entertain the whole family. It features a huge range of marine animals from sea lions to turtles and exotic birds. (For a large fee - around £80 - you can also experience the magic of swimming with dolphins but make sure you pre-book). In Guia, you will also find the new 'Algarve Shopping' mall, with a large selection of shops, fast food outlets, cinema screens (English language films) and a ten-pin bowling alley.

Albufeira, 3km away is a sprawling town with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters, and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can also stroll around the newly completed marina in the west and admire the dazzling array of white yachts. Alternatively, you could wander around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen's houses.

Casa Olivia is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Albuferia coastline, with its fourteen sandy beaches and coves. The nearest is Gale beach, which has a wide variety of tourist facilities and snack bars. In the direction of Albufeira are two smaller beaches that are quieter and less visited. Castelo Beach and Sao Rafael are picturesque coves protected by stunning rock formations of great natural beauty. One of Albufeira's nicest beaches; Praia dos Pescadores or 'fishermens' beach is so named because of the little colourful fishing boats that line the shore here.

Nearby attractions for those with children include.

. Slide and Splash - a huge water park with pools, Jacuzzis, slides and rapids that can keep the whole family amused for a day. There are plenty of grassy areas for relaxing and picnicking and because the grounds are so large, it doesn't get too crowded. Located north of the town on the N125, approx 25km away.
