The charming Casa Terry is on one spacious floor with a covered terrace and pretty gardens to the back of the villa.

Approach

This charming white and pastel-yellow painted villa is set in pretty, mature gardens within the small, quiet residential development of Quinta da Rosal.

Ground Floor

The cool, light living/dining room is decorated with the white walls, and tiled flooring that runs throughout the villa. There is a cosy sitting are with two sofas, two matching armchairs and a coffee table. There is a satellite TV and both DVD and video players (Note: DVDs and videos can be hired from reception). The dining space has an oval polished-wood table and six chairs. Patio doors open onto a covered terrace and the colourful, sunny gardens.
A doorway leads to the separate, spacious kitchen which has wooden units at base and eye level, with a grey granite worktop. A large integral double sink sits beneath a wide, sunny window. The kitchen is well-equipped with a kettle, microwave and dishwasher, and by the pretty glass-panelled back door is a washing machine and a free-standing fridge/freezer.
Small corridors lead to the three bedrooms; all furnished with twin wooden beds, bedside cabinets and small reading lamps. Wide windows look out to the pretty gardens and left ajar at night, invite in the twilight song of cicadas. Each bedroom has an en-suite tiled bathroom with toilet, washbasin and full bathtub/shower.

Outside

The pretty garden is surrounded by many mature trees providing privacy and partial shade. Patio doors lead from the living room to the covered terrace. Here there is a built-in barbecue and a garden table and chairs. Relaxing here in the shade is the perfect setting for a long, lazy lunch. The shade of the terrace can be extended further with a retractable sun awning stretching over the lawn in front.
The small green lawn features a central pathway with two small steps - leading down to the pool terrace. The pool terrace is separated form the lawn by two long stone flower beds full of lilac-flowering rose bushes. Integral steps lead you from one corner of the rectangular pool and gently into the water. By the poolside there are sunloungers and portable parasols for soaking up the sun or lounging in the shade with a good book.
To one side of the garden is a huge oleander tree covered with spiky leaves and pink flowers. Stairs lead up the side of the villa to a small roof terrace – ideal for secluded sunbathing and a nice spot to sit with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

Additional Information

The development has a snack bar/internet café at the communal poolside as well as a mini-market selling basic essentials. The restaurant features a weekly family barbecue night where there is live music, and also romantic candlelit evenings for adults only on a Friday between October and June. Baby-sitting services can be arranged.

The helpful reception is open 9.30 - 5.30, 7 days a week from April to October (and Mon-Fri in winter), it can offer you local advice and DVD/Video hire.

Cots, highchairs and fans are available for supplements payable locally per week.
This house has a Thursday changeover and minimum 7 day stay. Should you require other days or dates our sales staff with be happy to request these for you.

Location

The charming white and pastel-yellow painted Casa Terry is situated in pretty gardens, on the small residential development of Quinta da Rosal. Only 4km from the picturesque large village of Carvoeiro, this spacious and well-equipped villa is an ideal choice for families. There are amenities and facilities on site, as well as your own private pool and gardens. Sandy beaches and many attractions are just a short drive away.

The Quinta do Rosal development has two tennis courts, a communal pool with separate children’s splash pool, table tennis, table football and a small playground. It also has a snack bar/internet café, mini-market and restaurant.

The stunning, sandy Marinha beach is about 3km away, and has dramatic cliffs and beautiful tunnels and formations in the rocks. There are 116 steps down to the beach, but the route is fairly even and well-maintained.

Carvoeiro, 4km away was once a sleepy fishing village but has grown steadily throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. It has a small sandy beach where there are water sports on offer in summer, but it can become quite crowded. Its streets are lined with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll away from the beach towards the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and you will find quaint craft shops and market stalls selling local goods.

• Aqualand Water Park – plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. About 10km away
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. Approx 16km away.
• Krazy World – a family attraction with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day. Approx. 23km away
