Casa Ventura is situated in the small residential development of Quinta da Rosal, about 4km from the picturesque large village of Carvoeiro. This spacious and well-equipped holiday villa benefits from many amenities and facilities on site, as well as your own private pool and gardens. Sandy beaches and many attractions are a short drive away. Due to the very close proximity of the pool to the house, we do not recommend this villa to families with toddlers.

The Quinta do Rosal development has two tennis courts, a communal pool with separate children’s splash pool, table tennis, table football and a small playground. It also has a snack bar/internet café, mini-market and restaurant.

The stunning, sandy Marinha beach is about 3km away, and has dramatic cliffs and beautiful tunnels and formations in the rocks. There are 116 steps down to the beach, but the route is fairly even and well-maintained.

Carvoeiro, 4km away was once a sleep fishing village but has grown steadily throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. It has a small sandy beach where there are water sports on offer in summer, but it can become quite crowded. Its streets are lined with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll away from the beach towards the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and you will find quaint craft shops and market stalls selling local goods.

For those with kids, good family attraction nearby include…
• Aqualand Water Park – plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. About 10km away
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. Approx 16km away.
• Krazy World – a family attraction with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day. Approx. 23km away

Ground Floor

Casa Ventura is decorated throughout with white-washed walls, smooth square-tiled floors and wooden furniture. The open-plan living/dining room has air conditioning, a cosy sitting area with two large sofas and a coffee table upon a soft rug by an open fireplace eon the side wall. There is also a TV, which receives basic German channels, and a video player.
(NB: you can hire videos at reception). Patio doors open onto the sunny terrace. Behind the sitting area is a dining table with eight chairs, and another set of doors opening onto the gardens.
An open doorway leads into the huge kitchen which has a range of white-fronted units at base and eye-level and a black marble worktop. There is a stainless steel sink beneath a sunny window, and a small breakfast table with four chairs. This fitted kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle and coffee machine.
From the entrance hall, doors lead to the downstairs double bedroom which has a small mirror above the wooden-framed double bed. There are also bedside cabinets with small reading lamps, soft rugs on the floor, large built-in wardrobes and a door to an en-suite bathroom with twin sinks. A sliding glass door opens onto the gardens by the poolside, providing a cooling breeze when left ajar at night or during siesta.
The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds and has the use of a shower room. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom off of the entrance hall.

First Floor

The master double bedroom is furnished with a double wooden-framed bed, bedside tables with small reading lamps, wall mirror and wardrobes. It also has a large en-suite bathroom with twin sinks and a corner bath. Doors open onto a private shaded balcony, with views across the green surroundings and rooftops of neighbouring villas. This is a nice spot to savour a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
The remaining single bedroom has doors that open on to the roof terrace, providing direct access down the external stairs to the pool.

Outside

The gardens at Casa Ventura are bordered by thick, green hedges providing seclusion from its neighbours. There are small green lawns and plentiful leafy planting around the boundaries. The paved terrace to the back of the villa contains the large teardrop-shaped private pool. In the small, shallow end there are integral steps leading you gently down into the water. Doors from the living/dining room open out on to a small covered area of terrace, with a retractable awning. Here there is a garden table and chairs - this spot is perfect for long, lazy lunches under the shade.
Adjacent is a set of tiled stairs leading up to the roof terrace on the first floor, there is a small iron gate at the bottom of the stairs which can prevent young children from climbing up. As well as extra sunbathing space, the roof terrace provides easy access to the garden from the upstairs single bedroom.

The development has a snack bar/internet café at the communal poolside as well as a mini-market selling basic essentials. The restaurant features a weekly family barbecue night where there is live music, and also romantic candlelit evenings for adults only on a Friday between October and June. Baby-sitting services can be arranged.

The helpful reception is open 9.30 - 5.30, 7 days a week from April to October (and Mon-Fri in winter), as well as DVD hire it can offer you local advice.

Cots, highchairs and fans are available for supplements payable locally per week.
This house has a Thursday changeover and minimum 7 day stay. Should you require other days or dates our sales staff with be happy to request these for you.
