Casa Verano is situated on the Pestana Golf course overlooking the greens. The course is a short drive from the centre of Carvoeiro, a pretty coastal town in the Western Algarve. Once a small fishing village, the resort has flourished in recent years and although the streets are now lined with restaurants and shops catering to tourists, the town hasn't lost sight of its identity. The fishermen still moor their colourful boats along the shoreline here, and the fresh fish that they catch is available in many of the town's fine fish restaurants. Carvoeiro has a pretty beach which is sheltered by cliffs and has plenty of water sports to choose from. There is also a choice of other sports on offer and Carvoeiro has its own tennis centre, a further golf course and a lawn bowling club. Other pretty local beaches worth a visit are Praia de Centianes, Praia de Carvalho, Praia de Benagil and Praia de Marinha.

For those who enjoy shopping, the Algarve now has a large shopping centre located at Guia near Albufeira. Here you will find a hypermarket, bowling and a cinema which shows English films with subtitles as well as plenty of shops to choose from including recognisable international brands including The Body Shop and Zara.

First Floor

Through the wide brickwork arch from the entrance hall is the spacious living/dining room of Casa Verano. Wooden flooring and pale walls complement the room's stylish furniture. Comfortable seating faces the room's wood burning stove, which is set in a brick surround, and the room is equipped with a satellite television and a DVD player. Large patio doors lead out onto a balcony which has glorious views of the surrounding golf course and the pool area. The balcony has wooden garden furniture and a parasol to relax and read a book or enjoy the view. To one side of the fireplace is the dining area, which has a wooden dining table and chairs to seat 6 people. The large kitchen is modern and fully fitted with contemporary beech units and granite worktops. There is a breakfast bar which is useful for those early morning meals, and the kitchen has a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate utility area which houses the washing machine.

Also on this level is the villa's master bedroom which has a king-size bed, patio doors to the terrace, a dressing room and en suite bathroom with a separate shower.

Ground Floor

Steps lead downstairs to the villa's remaining bedrooms. The first twin bedroom has fitted wardrobes, an en suite shower room and doors out onto the pool terrace. The second also has doors onto the terrace. Downstairs there is also a sitting room with a small kitchenette which is really handy for those poolside snacks and drinks.

Outside

Outside is a large rectangular pool (9m x 5m) with integral steps, surrounded by tiled terraces and carefully shaved hedges giving the pool area a sense of privacy. The property is framed with green lawns and flowering shrubs which provide a little colour to the pleasant outdoor area, without interrupting the vista of the golf course stretching out into the valley. There is ample outdoor dining furniture for your party, as well as a barbecue to take advantage of the warm evenings and dine outside. There are also ample sun loungers and parasols for you to relax and sunbathe in the sunshine.
