Location
The Clube Luz apartments have 5 star facilities on site, but they are also ideally situated within the resort. They are a mere 250m from the nearest shops and restaurants, and only 500m from the nearest beach. This makes them the perfect venue for a holiday in the sunshine where you don’t have to rely on a car to get to the resort’s facilities all the time.
The local beach is Praia da Luz, in the heart of the old fishing village, and is one of the prettiest beaches in the Algarve. A wide stretch of white sand which gently shelves into the sea, the beach here is popular with holidaymakers of all ages. It is serviced by beach bars and restaurants and has a flag system and lifeguard in place in high season. The beach is well known for its water sports.
Luz was named after the beacon that was once lit to warn fishermen of invading moors, and even today fishermen use lights at night to find squid which shine like an underwater motorway heading for Africa (The Road to Morocco). Today this traditional Portuguese fishing villages retains its charm, and the winding cobbled streets and quaint white-washed houses blend easily with the facilities of modern tourism. The old fortress here has been converted into an impressive restaurant, and there are a number of others to choose from, as well as bars. Sports in the area include surfing, horse-riding, fishing, sailing and golf – all within easy reach. For those who wish to explore a little, Sagres is just along the coast, and is mainland Europe’s most south-westerly point, and the place where Portuguese explorers set out to navigate the globe.
For a wider selection of bars, restaurants and shops, Lagos is only 6km away and has a more lively nightlife with discos.

Ground Floor
The Club Luz apartments are all spacious and extremely well equipped. The large living/dining area has comfortable seating for your party at one end of the room, close to the large patio doors which lead out onto the terrace. There is a television which has some satellite channels, as well as a CD player for you to listen to music. At the opposite end of the room is the dining area, which is conveniently close to the kitchen, and has a table and chairs to seat 4 people. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped for a self-catering holiday in the sunshine. It has a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.
A lovely feature of the Clube Luz apartments is that the bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms. Here the bedrooms are a selection of twin and double rooms and the bathrooms have a mixture of baths and shower. Outside
Outside the living/dining area there is a large private outdoor balcony. It enjoys lovely views of either the pool or the well tended gardens of the grounds. There is outdoor dining furniture here – a table and chairs for you to enjoy the warm Algarve evenings and dine outdoors. There is a lovely pool area which these apartments share, which has a large freeform heated pool and separate children’s paddling pool, surrounded by sun loungers and parasols for you to make the most of the sunshine only meters from your apartment. There is also a large indoor pool for those who prefer, as well as a Jacuzzi, sauna, fully equipped gym with aerobics studio and full timetable of classes, a beauty salon, tennis and kids activity club. The resort also has a restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a bar and Steve Davies club room.
Additional Information
Air conditioning may be available on request. Minimum stay 2 nights. Maid service is twice a week with towel change, linen changed once a week.
