The owners are rightly proud of what they have created here. Giorgio, an architect, has designed the accommodation with a keen awareness of what guests require on holiday. His wife Laura, has fitted and furnished the properties with cosiness, comfort and obvious good taste.Il Querceto is a small assortment of 13th century houses on a hilltop with a stunning panorama below and beyond.
Looking out over vineyards, olive groves, forest and valleys is like visiting a different art gallery every day. The four buildings are well spaced out within the grounds and each of the nine cottages here has its own furnished eating out area. Inside a fenced garden is the swimming pool, a play area for children and table tennis.
The entire estate is immaculately clean and tidy. Mountain bikes can be hired on site for adults and children. There is a laundry room and a barbecue for everybody’s use, and a very spacious communal reading and games room with an open fireplace.
All accommodations have a private telephone, and providing there is enough demand, meals can be arranged on request. Breakfasts are available, wine tastings and one to three day cookery courses can be arranged, (subject to a minimum number of participants). Light lunches will also be available in the enoteca wine shop weekdays only.Il Querceto is equidistant from Castellina in Chianti and Panzano in Chianti, both of which can be reached in 10 minutes by car. Florence and Siena are within a one hour drive.
Open throughout the year, a warm welcome awaits you whatever the month.
