The Kefalos beach apartments are set in a village-style complex, in the popular area of Kato Paphos, Western Cyprus. The village is just metres from the beachfront promenade that runs along from the from the Paphos fort to the mosaics. Set only metres from the sandy sea front, Kefalos tourist village can be found off from the Tomb of the Kings road. The grounds of this purpose-built village offer ample parking space and well-maintained, landscaped gardens.

The village has many amenities including a mini-market, fruit market, and book/souvenir shop, but a large supermarket is only 300m away. Similarly, the village has a bar, taverna, snack bar and cafeteria but other independent restaurants can be found about 300m away.

Kefalos beach village is just across the road from the sandy beach of Kato Paphos, about 80m away in total. Swim and splash in the warm Mediterranean Sea, build a kingdom of sandcastles or just laze on the shore in the sunshine.

Leisure facilities include use of the three pools; one indoor heated pool, one outdoor pool and a shallow children’s pool. The large outdoor pool has a feature walk-over bridge. In addition the village has a sauna and Jacuzzi, fitness club, two tennis courts, a games room, volleyball court and a children’s playground. So there’s plenty of activities and something to keep everyone amused. In addition to the sporting faclities, the village also offers practical amenities such as a launderette, hairdresser, TV room, 24-hour helpful reception, and even a chapel (where weddings can take place).

The nearby mosaics are one of Paphos’ most famous attractions and well worth a visit. This large excavation site displays the beautiful mosaic floors of ancient Roman nobleman’s villas. The amazing mosaics date from between the third and fifth century and have been declared a Wolrd Heritage Site. The scale of this site is immense – for example, just one of the villas (the House of Dionysus) has 556m² of mosaic-covered floor space, spanning fourteen rooms. Many of the mosaics feature mythological scenes.

Approach

The compact but homely apartments are bright and airy with white walls and large patio doors flooding the living space with natural light. Situated on the friendly and cheerful village-complex of Kefalos beach, the apartments are close to many amenities and just across the road from a sandy beach. Paths wind their way around the village, through small lawns and pastel coloured buildings to the apartments.

Ground Floor

Light wooden furniture and blue fabrics decorate this apartment .The front door opens into the large, open-plan living space where doors open at the far end onto your private veranda. The sitting area is fitted with large sofas, satellite TV, radio and a direct-dial telephone. To the centre is a square dining table with four chairs and beyond: the open-plan kitchen. This tiled kitchenette features wooden units and a solid worktop with integral sink and hob. Equipment includes a large fridge/freezer and an electric oven/hob.
A door opens into the master bedroom; furnished with twin beds, bedside cabinets and small reading lamps, and fitted wardrobes. There is also a separate shower room with a shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin beneath a large mirror.

Outside

The private veranda overlooks the distant rolling landscape and hazy mountains inland. Here in the warm sunshine you can relax with a cool drink and watch the world go by, or simply laze in the sun. (Apartments with verandas overlooking the shimmering blue sea are also available).
