This comfy family villa with well-furnished accommodation is located in a beautiful area of countryside with large gardens and a private pool. The interior is light, airy, and well-equipped. As you approach the villa, the stone-clad exterior and large shaded veranda stand out against the gardens. You enter into the living room from the terrace.

La Casita is a spacious villa with a cosy cottage feel due to the wooden features; beams across the high sloping ceilings, frames and shutters at the windows, and lintels above the windows and doorways. White walls and smooth tiled floors are found throughout the villa, creating a cool and comfortable feel even in the summer heat.

The sitting area has a lovely open fireplace with a white surround, and there is a circle of comfy armchairs, a coffee table and a cushioned bench. The dining area features a polished dark wood table and six chairs. In the living room there is also satellite TV, a CD player and a Playstation 2; plenty to amuse when you want to retreat from the midday sun.

A square archway leads you into the kitchen which has a dishwasher and doors out on to the terrace. From the terrace, there is access to the external utility room. A small hallway near the kitchen entrance leads to two bedrooms and a tiled shower room. The twin bedroom has matching wooden beds, a bedside cabinet with reading lamps and a vanity table with chair and large mirror. There is also a small, single bedroom which would be ideal for a child wanting their own room.

A hallway from the opposite end of the living room takes you to a separate family bathroom and the master bedroom with a double bed.

Outside

The large covered terrace that runs along the side of the villa has terracotta tiles and large stone pillars. There are several tables and chairs and plenty of shaded space for long, lazy lunches. Within the terrace is a large barbecue kitchen with a barbecue, sink and traditional bread oven – perfect for freshly cooked al fresco meals.

The terrace area is bordered by a neat strip of green lawn, where there are sun loungers for soaking up the warm rays. A short flight of stairs with a metal handrail leads up to the raised swimming pool, which has ladder access.
The gardens are bordered by fruit and palm trees, and flowering shrubs. The surrounding area includes groves and open land with a rugged mountain backdrop, so there are nice views from the garden.

Location

La Casita sits within colourful, well-kept gardens surrounded by olive groves and the rugged foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana.

The bustling sea-front town of Puerto Pollensa with sandy beaches and plenty of restaurants and shops is 2.9km away. There is some slightly nearer local shops and restaurants, roughly 2km away.

The beach at Puerto Pollensa Bay (3.5km away) has warm, shallow waters, ideal for families with small children. It offers a selection of water sports, and facilities such as beachside cafes and sunbeds/parasols. However, there are also a number of small coves in the surrounding area for those who want more peace and seclusion.

The harbour of Pollensa Bay is home to an array of luxury yachts, as well as colourful local fishing boats. In the evening, take a stroll along the Pine Walk promenade, a pedestrian walkway overhung by palms and fragrant pines. This stretches from the marina to the beach, past luxury villas and apartments.

The quaint old town of Pollensa, with many restaurants, cafes and shops is about 5km away. On Sunday, the main café-lined square of Placa Major is filled with market stalls selling local crafts and colourful fresh fruit and flowers. A nice stroll around Pollensa will lead you up winding narrow streets that date back to the 18th Century.
Surrounding and sheltering the town are the foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana, providing unforgettable views – and, for the more adventurous, opportunities for walking and hiking.

Within the Pollensa region is the Albufereta Nature Reserve, covering 150 hectares with canals, lakes and reed beds; protected homes to a wide variety of birds. This peaceful location is about 10km south of Pollensa town.
