The townhouse has a spacious open-plan living/dining room with comfortable sofas grouped around a coffee table opposite a large open fireplace. There is a flat screen TV with some satellite channels and also a DVD and CD player. The formal dining area has a dining table with seating for your party.

There is a bright and modern kitchen with fitted units and appliances including a microwave, oven and electric hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A glass-panelled door leads to the outside dining terrace which is a lovely spot to enjoy a leisurely family breakfast or lunch. The washing machine and dryer are housed in a separate utility room.

There is pretty ground floor twin bedroom with patio doors to the terrace. There is a separate shower room with a shower, WC and washbasin.

First Floor

The spacious master bedroom has a King-sized bed and patio door leading to a private balcony. It also has a full en suite bathroom.

Outside

The townhouses are located within small condominiums, set within beautifully kept gardens with a generously sized communal pool. Some of the communal pools are heated but this may not be the one closest to your accommodation.

Each townhouse has its own furnished balcony and terrace.

Ideally located for either for a family or small group of friends travelling together, this luxury townhouse is set in landscaped communal gardens with a lovely shared pool. Praia D’El Rey is a 600 acre Golf and Beach resort on the West coast of Portugal widely known as the ‘Silver Coast’. With its enviable setting in this prestigious resort, the villa has golf, tennis, restaurants and the resort shop within easy reach, making this an ideal choice if you are looking for a relaxing holiday with everything close to hand. The Five Star Marriott Hotel has spa facilities available to villa guests for a small daily charge.

The 18-hole golf course here is very picturesque and is set amidst pine forests and gently undulating sand dunes with wonderful views over the Atlantic and Berlenga Islands. There are also extensive tennis facilities, with the main court having a spectator area for 200 people. There are tennis clinics available for both adults and children and other activities can be arranged including football and basketball.

The beautiful sandy beach at Praia D’El Rey is 3km long, backed by spectacular high cliffs. The beach has excellent surfing conditions and is a great place to watch the sun go down There are sun-loungers and umbrellas available for hire and lifeguards patrol the beach during the peak summer months. Access to the beach is via steps from the Marriott hotel and you will need to bring your own refreshments as there are no other beachside facilities here.

5km away from Praia D’El Rey is Baleal beach, a stretch of fine white sand between Peniche and the former Baleal Island which has now become joined to the mainland. This area is extremely popular with surfers and has a vibrant atmosphere that any teenagers in your party will love. The beach is lined with snack bars where you can buy basic meals and refreshments, with surfing lessons and equipment hire available. There are also banana boat rides on offer.

Obidos is a beautiful Medieval Portuguese town which has been classified as a National Monument and was traditionally the gift of the Kings of Portugal to their Queens. Totally enclosed by its ancient walls, the town has narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses adorned with flowers. You can try out a variety of water sports at the large Obidos Lagoon.

Nearby Peniche is renowned for its numerous fish restaurants where you can sample the local specialities of sea bass, sardine and shellfish. On the seafront at the edge of the town stands a 16th century fort which now contains a museum of local archaeology and crafts.

Lisbon. Portugal’s capital, is around an hour’s drive away and is a beautiful historic city with excellent shopping and entertainment facilities.
