The villa has two storey accommodation with all three bedrooms located on the first floor and living accommodation downstairs.

Ground Floor

This lovely holiday villa has a spacious living room decorated in a simple and understated style with white walls and cool tiled flooring. A leather sofa and armchair provide comfortable seating around the built-in shelving that houses a television with some satellite channels and a video player. The windows and patio doors open onto the pool terrace where the balcony above provides some welcome shade on hot summer days. There is a smart separate dining room, decorated in a similar way, which is furnished with an oval wooden table and seating for six.

The kitchen is well-equipped and has a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a guest cloakroom with WC and washbasin.

First Floor

The villa’s three bedrooms are all located on this floor. There are two double rooms, one with an en suite shower room and both benefit from doors opening onto a balcony that runs the full width of the villa. There is a further twin room, also with doors to the balcony and there is a separate bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, WC and washbasin.

Outside

The villa is set within well tended gardens, with an area of lawn adjacent to the villa which has some mature palms providing shade. There are pathways to the free-form pool which is surrounded by a sun terrace with ample space for sunbathing on the sun-loungers provided. You will find a pleasantly shaded covered dining area as well as a built-in barbecue for al fresco meals, and there are scenic views over the balustrade beyond the pool terrace. Children will love the garden swings and also the water wheel feature and fish pond.

Welcome pack, beach towels and hairdrier included. Linen changed once a week, towels twice a week.

Location

Quinta da Alfarobbeira is within walking distance of local amenities with the beach at Praia de Gale just 1.5km away. The bustling resort of Albufeira is around 5km from the villa. With its beautiful golden expanse of beach lined with beachside bars and cafes, Gale has become a popular holiday destination, but there are plenty of secluded coves and beaches along this stretch of coastline and pleasant walks along the clifftops if you are looking for more privacy. Nearby Castelo beach and Sao Rafael are picturesque coves at the foot of dramatic red sandstone cliffs.

Guia, to the north of Gale, is a pretty village renowned locally for its restaurants serving chicken piri piri, a traditional spiced chicken dish. Guia is also home to Algarve Shopping, a huge commercial centre with a selection of over one hundred shops including a hypermarket, a range of clothes stores and a multiscreen cinema and bowling alley. Children will love the Zoomarine theme park where they can have their photograph taken with the dolphins and watch spectacular aquatic shows. Also popular with children are water parks such as the Slide and Splash at Lagoa.

Albufeira has grown from a small fishing village into a popular coastal resort whilst retaining much of its charm. The old Moorish part of town has narrow cobbled streets and white-washed fishermen’s cottages, whilst the tourist centre has lively bars, restaurants serving international food and nightclubs which play music late into the night. During the day, you can visit the local market to buy handicrafts and souvenirs or visit one of the resort’s excellent beaches where you can sunbathe, swim in the clear blue water or try out one of the water sports on offer. If you are looking for lively evening entertainment, Albufeira’s popular ‘Strip’ is the place to go where you will find plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs staying open late into the night.

There are many superb golf courses in the Algarve, the nearest being the 18-hole course at Salgados Golf which backs onto the sand dunes at Gale beach with lovely views across the Atlantic
