Villa Walkthrough
The accommodation of Quinta da Marinha is on several levels.
Ground Floor
GARDEN LEVEL
This level is perfect for a nuclear family sharing a holiday with a larger party. The guest suite has twin beds and a sofa bed, and there is a further twin bedroom which interconnects with a single bedroom. All the rooms are simply furnished and share the family bathroom, which has a bath, wash basin and toilet. There is also a laundry room on this level containing the washing machine and a shower room.
LOWER LEVEL
On this level is a comfortable sitting room with satellite TV, a fireplace and french doors leading out into a courtyard and to the terraces. Two twin bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower room plus a separate shower room.
Ground Floor
The entrance hall is on this floor, and features an impressive spiral staircase. There is a dining room, which is large in size and features a long dark wood table with enough seating for at least eight. The kitchen comes fully equipped with modern equipment including hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The comfortable sitting room has doors leading out into a courtyard and to the terraces.
First Floor
Up a flight of stairs, there are two twin bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The beds are wrought iron, with attractive bedroom furniture
Second Floor
Up a second flight of stairs, there are two double bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms. Decorative wrought iron beds
Outside
Quinta da Marinha has a spectacular outlook. From the windows, you can see the glistening ocean, and the villa terraces are the perfect place to pause for a glass of wine and watch the sun go down to the sound of the waves crashing far below. The pretty cove of Marinha beach is literally on the doorstep. A small winding path with periodic steps winds its way from the garden down the cliff face, direct to the beach.
If you prefer to spend your days basking by the pool, then the villa offers spacious terracing on many levels, and has ample sun-loungers for sun worshippers, or covered arches and parasols for those who prefer the cool of the shade. The pool is saltwater and there are two separate poolside showers.
For those who enjoy eating outdoors, there is a comfortable outside dining area and barbecue.

Experience Accommodation Quality: GoodValue For Money: GoodComments:
The quinta da marinha villa is a bit special and atmospheric and left us with some happy memories. don't be put off by the religious artifacts and period furniture as they add to it's attraction. the villa is so spacious that our party of 12 had plenty of room to spread out and not get under each others feet. it's also kept scrupulously clean by rosa who's been cleaning their for 31 years!i would suggest that 12 is the maximum number for this villa as the bedrooms in the basement are a bit too basic and claustrophobic without any windows. i would recommend a car as a necessity as carvoeiro is a good 10 minutes drive away. finlly thanks to villas to go for the bouquet of flowers to my wife for her birthday - nice touch and much appreciatedExperience Recommendations:
I would particularly like to recommend the two restaurants that were local to the villa near marinha beach. we visted the rustica restaurant to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and the food, wine and even a birthday cake made it a night to remember. we visted it's next door neighbour le brasserie on our last night and the owner max brinkman was an excellent host and comedian (ask him to tell some of his golf jokes!)
Location
Quinta da Marinha enjoys a spectacular location right on the coast at Marinha beach, 3km to the east of Carvoeiro centre.
Carvoiero is a flourishing tourist resort in the western Algarve which was once a quiet fishing village. Nowdays the streets are lined with cafes, bars and restaurants, and a stroll around the lanes of the older part of town will lead you to quaint shops selling local crafts and market stalls selling fresh local produce. The resort comes to life in high season, but the fell of the fishing village that it once was still remains, with the local fishermen who still bring home to catches to sort in the harbour.
Carvoeiro was once a quiet fishing village but has steadily grown throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. The streets are lined with cafes, bars and restaurants, and a stroll around the older streets of the town will take you to quaint shops selling local crafts and market stalls selling fresh local goods. Although now a bustling place in high season, the essence of the sleepy village still remains in the local fisherman who sail the seas and bring home their catches, sorting them in the harbour.
