This villa is situated in a peaceful, green residential area on the small resort of Vale St Antonio which has communal faculties such as a pool, tennis courts and crazy golf course (charges payable).

The silky, golden, stretch of sand that borders the Atlantic Ocean along this section of the Algarve, is popular with local surfers and the families holidaying in Vale do Lobo. As well as golf, horse-riding and tennis, there are plenty of water sports on offer along this section of the Atlantic coast.

There are many golf courses nearby; the nearest being the Royal and Ocean courses on the neighbouring Vale do Lobo development, approximately 2km from the villa. Alternatively, Quinta do Lago South (the course used for the Portuguese open) and Quinta do Lago North are approximately 4.5km away.

Vale St Antonio has a supermarket and restaurant, about 500m and 600m, respectively, from the property. There are plenty more cafes and restaurants lining the sophisticated sea-front Praca (or promenade) along Vale do Lobo beach; here you can dine al fresco on the terraces and watch the world go by.

Nearby attractions include the 'Aqua Show' water park, a 15 minute drive from Vale do Lobo and the Zoo-Marine sea life centre theme park in Albufeira, approximately 25km away. The inland town of Loule, 20 minutes away by car, has a craft market every Saturday where the traditional, local craftsmen display their wares.

Ground Floor

As you enter this spacious, four-bed villa, you come into the central entrance hall and the living area is ahead of you towards the rear of the house. There are large, sliding patio doors looking out to the terrace and the sun sparkling on the water of the pool. This allows natural light to stream in. This, along with the cool, tiled floors and simple white walls, creates a light and airy feel. The house is decorated in this way throughout, with cane or wooden furniture and pretty prints on the walls to add interest. The living area has matching cane chairs and sofas, a coffee table and a satellite television. The separate dining area has a large wooden table and chairs to seat six and is overlooked by the open-plan kitchen so that those seated around the table can carry on talking to the designated chef. The modern, well-equipped, kitchen has light wooden units and a grey granite worktop with an integral hob; the oven and microwave are enclosed in a tall side unit. To the back of the kitchen is the utility area which contains a washing machine and the fridge/freezer.

To the right of the living area is a twin bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom and patio doors opening out on to the terrace, pool and lawns. The further two ground floor bedrooms are to the left of the property and are furnished with twin beds. They both have patio doors on the left side of the property leading out to the gardens and around to the pool. As well as the benefit of easy access to the outside, these doors can be used to let in the warm breeze and soothing cicada song during an afternoon siesta. There is a separate bathroom with an over-bath shower to serve these two bedrooms.

First Floor

A small, curving staircase leads to the upper floor landing and the master double bedroom on the right; with doors opening on to a sun-filled roof terrace that overlooks the pool and gardens. This private spot is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine under the stars in the evening, after the kids have gone to bed. There is additional access to this terrace from a small door on the landing. To the left of the landing is a large master bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle.

Outside

The villa is set in a beautiful, landscaped garden bordered with mature trees and shrubs. There are well-kept green lawns either side of the large, private swimming pool, ideal for sunbathing or playing. The area of terrace immediately outside the living area is covered by a porch on which flowering, climbing plants weave around its supporting pillars. This pretty area is perfect for al fresco dining.
