Location

Villa Victoria has an enviable location in the exclusive residential area of Bon Aire to the north of the old walled town of Alcudia with many facilities located within a short walk of this very comfortable holiday villa with private pool. There is a restaurant at the end of the drive, only 100m from the entrance and a choice of other shops and dining facilities within easy walking distance. The beach and marina at Mal Pas are just 500m away and there is a wide selection of amenities available in Alcudia which is 1.6km to the south.

The beaches along the Pollensa Bay shoreline have white sand which shelves gently into the warm blue waters of the Mediterranean. There are numerous beach activities to choose from including a good selection of water sports. Alcudia is a bustling port with a large range of shops, restaurants and boutiques lining the sweeping sandy bay. Evening entertainment is varied and lively, and for families with children and teenagers, there is a water park for a fun day out. The old town of Alcudia is a beautifully preserved medieval walled city and has a network of narrow streets and remnants of Roman architecture including amphitheatre.

Pollensa Old Town, around 11km inland, also has Roman origins and evidence of a bygone era can be found all around you in the narrow winding streets. There is a range of traditional craft shops, boutiques and pavement cafes hiding in the maze of cobbled streets waiting to be discovered. The town’s main square Placa Major is a lovely place to enjoy an evening meal, and it plays host to a Sunday morning market which sells an array of fresh local produce and traditional handicrafts. For golfing enthusiasts, nearby Pollensa Golf is a 9 hole course with panoramic views over the Tramuntana mountains, olive groves and Pollensa Bay.

Puerto Pollensa, a little further north along the bay, has a great beach with excellent beachside facilities – ice-cream shops, kiosks, sun beds and parasols for hire, not to mention the range of water sports on offer – waterskiing, jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing to name a few. Boat trips depart from here on island excursions, including one that heads up the coast to the Formentor peninsular, taking in some of the more secluded coves along the way. In the evening, Puerto Pollensa has a more low key nightlife than that of Alcudia, centred around dining out in restaurants and drinking in pavement cafes. A lovely place for an evening stroll is the ‘Pine Walk’, a charming leafy promenade lined with restaurants and cafes. Market day is on a Wednesday in the town square.

In Detail

Ground Floor

The front door leads to a reception hall with a door to the living room on the righthand side. The living area is bright and comfortable with a couple of sofas grouped around a large open fireplace and a large picture window. There is a television with some satellite channels and a DVD player in the corner of the room and also a music system for your entertainment. Patio doors open onto a lovely shaded terrace which is screened by cane screens, trees and vines. The dining area has an oval table with seating for eight.

The kitchen opens off the dining room and is well-equipped with a fridge/freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. It also has a convenient breakfast area and a passageway through to the garage and to a shower room.

The bedrooms are all situated to the left of the reception hall. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both rooms have private access to a bathroom with a bath and overbath shower, WC and washbasin. Two cosy twin bedrooms share an adjacent shower room and are all well furnished in pine and have rugs on the tiled floors.

Outside

The villa has a front courtyard area and pretty enclosed gardens bordered by tree and shrubs. The lovely rectangular pool with a Roman end is surrounded by a walled terrace flanked by strips of grass and dotted with trees. Sun-loungers and patio furniture are provided so that you can relax in comfort in the Mallorcan sunshine.
