Severino is a two-storey property. One of the bedrooms and a separate bathroom are situated on the ground floor with a further two bedrooms and bathrooms (one en suite) upstairs.

Ground Floor

Severino has a large block paved driveway and parking area and stands within private gardens, bordered by hedges and trees.


The open-plan living area has two distinct areas. The comfortable sitting room has cream sofas arranged around a square glass-topped coffee table with the television and DVD player in one corner. There is also an attractive fire place with a wooden mantel and French windows which open to the garden. The dining area has a table and chairs to seat six and is bright and sunny with French windows on both sides. There are ceiling fans to keep things cool in the heat of the day.

The spacious kitchen has pine units at base and eye level and is also furnished with a table and chairs. The kitchen has a microwave and there is a washing machine and a dishwasher in a separate utility area. The guest cloakroom has a WC and washbasin.

The bedroom on this floor has a double bed and is decorated in a contemporary style with a wooden bedstead and pretty linens and curtains. There is a separate ground floor bathroom with bath and overhead shower, WC, twin washbasins and a bidet.

First Floor

There are a further two bedrooms on the first floor. There is a cosy double bedroom which is furnished in a tradtional style with dark wood furniture and has sliding patio doors opening onto a balcony with lovely views across the countryside and rooftops to the sea. The bright and well furnished twin bedroom benefits from an en suite bathroom and also has access to a balcony.

Outside

The villa sits within well-maintained gardens which are bordered by walls and hedges with trees providing shade around the edge. The attractive swimming pool is reached by a paved pathway and is surrounded by lawns with plenty of space for children to play. Beside the pool is a useful open shower and sun-loungers are provided, as is patio dining furniture and a built-in barbecue. There are several patio areas where you can sit in the sunshine or shade according to your taste.

Location

Severino is ideally located for a relaxing family villa holiday in the sun, being set in peaceful surroundings with countryside views yet close to essential shops, restaurants and a sandy beach at Castelo. The beach here is quite small but beautiful, with clear blue water and golden sands surrounded by eroded sandstone cliffs. Nearby Sao Rafael has fine sand and a wonderful rocky landscape. Gale beach is an expansive 2km wide sweep of golden sands lined with a range of beachside bars and is a popular choice for windsurfers and scuba divers. Other watersports such as jet ski-ing, banana boat rides and parascending are also on offer but these three beaches are generally quieter than the ones at Albufeira’s centre.

The villa is within easy reach of the beautiful countryside areas of Vale de Parra and the Cerro d’Aguia which is a ridge running parallel to the coast towards Albureira’s new marina. Albufeira, just under 7km away from the villa, is a popular resort with plenty to offer visitors of all tastes. As well as the town beaches, there is a wide selection of shops ranging from souvenir shops and trendy boutiques to traditional market stalls selling handicrafts and local produce. Evening entertainment here is plentiful and varied, with many buzzing clubs, bars and restaurants to choose from which stay open late into the night. If you prefer a slower pace, visit the old town with its quaint cobbled streets, winding alleys and terracotta roofed fishermans’ cottages. To the west of the town is the recently completed marina where you can dine in one of the fine restaurants to sample the freshest seafood or simply sit and watch the yachts and cruisers bobbing gently on the water.

For golfing enthusiasts there are plenty of excellent golf courses in the region, the closest being the eighteen hole Salgados Golf course near Gale which backs onto the sand dunes with lovely views across the Atlantic. There are opportunities for other activities such as horse riding, tennis and some beautiful cliff tops walks. For families with children, there are water parks such as the Slide and Splash at nearby Lagoa and the Zoomarine sea life theme park at Guia where you can watch fantastic aquatic displays and picnic in the extensive grounds.
