Villa Walkthrough
Vidrier is a two storey traditional villa, where two of the bedrooms are downstairs, and the remaining bedroom is on the upper level.
Ground Floor
Vidrier is a traditional stone villa with shutters at the end of a quiet country lane, nestling in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside. On approaching the house, you will see a lovely covered terrace framed by bright buganvillea, and there is ample space to park.
As you walk through the main entrance of Vidrier, you will find yourself in a lounge/foyer, which has a seating area around an open fireplace set in a tapered chimney breast. To one side of this entrance area, you will find two of the villa’s bedrooms – one double bedroom and one twin room, which both share a separate bathroom
Through a feature stone wall from the entrance lounge, there is a separate dining area which has lovely exposed beams and a table and seating for your party. A door from here will take you into the villa’s large kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A door from here leads out to a pergola facing the pool and gardens.
First Floor
Up the stairs which lead out of the dining area, there is a further lounge which houses the villa’s television. The television has a selection of satellite channels and there is also a DVD and a stereo. Grouped around an open plan fireplace are comfortable sofas and chairs, and this is a lovely feature of the villa for families with teenage children who like to watch their own programmes.
From the upper lounge, French windows lead out onto a large balcony with spectacular views of the spiky shrubs and fruit trees of the surrounding countryside, not to mention a glorious view of the pool.
A couple of stairs lead up to the final double bedroom, which has its own en-suite shower room.
Outside
As you drive into the grounds of Vidrier, you are greeted by a beautiful covered terrace area surrounded by pretty flowers. There is a built-in barbecue to take advantage of the warm summer evenings by grilling and eating outdoors. The pool area is located at the front of the house and is surrounded by a well tended mature garden with leafy trees and established shrubs. The grounds merge comfortably into the lovely landscape beyond and make for a comfortable and relaxing location for a villa holiday in the sun. The pool itself is rectangular with a Roman end and integral steps. The pool is surrounded by terracing and has ample sun loungers and parasols for your party.

Location
Situated at the end of a quiet country lane, Vidrier enjoys a lovely position between the charming town of Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa on the coast.
Puerto Pollensa is a short drive by car (3km) and has a fine white sandy beach and a horseshoe bay with calm, still waters. The sand gently shelves into the sea, making the beach popular with holidaymakers of all ages, and suitable for those with small children. Excellent beach side facilities and ample water sports make the beach a pleasant holiday visit. The beach is well serviced with beach-bars, ice-cream parlours sun-beds and parasols, and has a number of water sports on offer including water-skiing, jet skiing, parasailing, windsurfing and pedaloes. For those who prefer a little more peace and tranquility on the beach, there are a number of pretty coves in the vicinity waiting to be discovered. The palm lined promenade ‘Palm Walk’ is lined with pavement cafes and restaurants where you can relax and watch the world go by. For those who fancy a trip along the coast, there are some lovely boat trips offered from the beach which take in the spectacular Formentor Peninsular. The large town square is the centre of the resort’s nightlife which is fairly low key, and on Wednesdays plays host to a good market. Behind the town, the spectacular vista of the Tramuntana Mountains remind you that there are plenty of tempting inland places to explore.
Pollensa is an old Roman town with a quaint maze of cobbled ancient streets that give you a taste of traditional Majorca. It is a charming place to wander around, with some interesting craft shops and a number of tempting boutiques. Take a trip to the splendid market which spills out of Placa Major on a Sunday morning, and choose from a vast array of locally farmed produce including fruit vegetables, cheese and olives. For the more energetic, the Calvary steps (all 365 of them!) lead to the Calvari church and some glorious views.
A little further along the coast is the large and lively port of Port d’Alcudia, which has a large range of shops, restaurants and boutiques all lining a sweeping sandy bay. The beach here is wide and white, the waters shallow and blue and there is a host of beach activity to choose from including a good selection of water sports. You will find a water park here, and a more lively nightlife than in Puerto Pollensa. For a change of pace, the old town of Alcudia is a beautifully preserved medieval walled city. You can lose yourself in another era in the network of narrow streets. Alcudia is another Roman town and for those who enjoy a little history, there is a Roman house to visit, and the remains of an amphitheatre to the south of the town.
