Located in a residential area on the outskirts of the vibrant resort of Vilamoura.
Vilamoura is a well known and favourite European golfing destination with 6 world class golf courses in the resort, all of which are just a short drive away. The resort also offers other outstanding sport and entertainment facilities. These include tennis, horse riding, water sports, and even clay pigeon shooting. Nightlife centres around the huge lively marina, which forms the focal point of the resort. There are numerous shops, bars and restaurants here not to mention the cinema and the casino.
The resort has good shopping and you can find a selection of designer boutiques, shoe stores, sports outlets, jewellers and perfumeries. For those seeking a little local colour, there is a Saturday market at nearby Loule which sells traditional handicrafts and fresh produce.
The beaches in resort are excellent– Vilamoura has one of the finest white sandy beaches in the area, but there are countless other beautiful places along this stretch of shoreline to enjoy the beach life that the Algarve has to offer.
Faro is very local. The city is the capital of the Algarve and the old town is a maze of pedestrianised streets full of glimpses at a bygone era. At the heart of the city is a square which is home to the Bishop’s Palace and Renaissance-style cathedral. Further interesting churches are sprinkled throughout the city, as are museums where you can find remains of the Roman ruins at Estoi and a maritime museum in the harbour. Allow yourself to be tempted into one of the coffee houses for a bica (strong coffee) or take time out to shop in the shaded side streets before settling at the close of the day into one of the fine restaurants to be found here.
