Alecrim is a two storey villa where two of the bedrooms are on the lower level with the living accommodation. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Ground Floor

The main living/dining accommodation of the villa is a long room decorated with traditional Portuguese tiles on the walls and floors. There is comfortable seating gathered in front of the room’s large window which gives delightful views of the pool terrace. The room has a television which has some satellite channels and a DVD player for your viewing entertainment. A long rectangular table offers enough space for a party of ten people to be seated at the same time. The kitchen is modern, and fully fitted with white cupboards and plenty of space for food preparation for a large party. It comes equipped with a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave for your convenience.

Also on this level are two of the villa’s bedrooms. The first has a wrought-iron double bed, fitted wardrobes, tiled floors and an en-suite bathroom which has a bath with an overhead shower. The other bedroom on this level has twin ironwork beds, and also has its own en-suite which has a bath/overhead shower, and twin wash basins. Both of these bedrooms as well as the further three on the upper level, have free-standing fans to keep you cool at night. There is also a guest cloakroom on this level for your convenience

First Floor

Upstairs are the villa’s remaining three bedrooms – two with double beds and one twin room. All have pretty ironwork beds with brightly coloured furnishings and fitted wardrobes to store all your holiday belongings. One of the double bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom with overhead shower. The other two rooms share the separate bathroom which also has a bath with overhead shower. One of the bedrooms on this level has doors out onto the balcony which enjoys lovely views of the pool area.

Outside

The pool area of Alecrim is a pleasant and comfortable area for you to spend time on your villa holiday in the Algarve. The large kidney-shaped private pool has both integral step access and ladder access and features a small paddling area perfect for toddlers to splash. There are numerous sun-loungers and parasols for your guests to enjoy a little sun-bathing, and the leafy palm trees provide a little dappled shade from the sun in the heat of the day. There is a built-in barbecue for those who enjoy grilling outside on holiday and enough outdoor dining furniture for you to make the most of the opportunity.

Additional Information

Maid service is included three times per week. There is a weekly linen change, and a twice weekly house towel change. Welcome pack, beach towels and hairdrier included.

Location

Alecrim is a lovely five bedroom villa located in the Belavista area of Albufeira within a five minute walk of a number of local shops, restaurants and bars, making it the perfect choice if you want to be close to local amenities. It is also within a twenty minute walk of ‘The Strip’ in the centre of Albufeira (1.5km) for those in search of a livelier nightlife, or a wider choice of restaurants and shops.

Albufeira is a large well established resort which continues to be highly popular with Algarve tourists. The lovely golden sandy beach has an impressive array of water sports on offer as well as sun loungers and parasols for hire, not to mention the convenience of many beach-side bars and restaurants. The town’s markets are brimming with local produce, handicrafts and clothing to sample or take home as souvenirs, if you find that the resort’s many shops fail to throw up what you a re searching for. At night the resort comes alive with a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs humming their way through evening entertainment. To the west of the town, the newly completed marina has a different pace – here you can dine at one of the many fine restaurants on locally caught fresh fish, or take an evening stroll amongst the yachts. The old town has another different tone, with its cobbled streets and fishermen’s houses, we are reminded that this holiday haven was once a simple traditional fishing village.

For those who enjoy a little golf, there are several courses in the area, some of which are world class. The closest to Alcerim is Balaia Golf, but there are many other fine choices if you are willing to take a little drive along the coast. There are also plenty of other sporting activities on offer, including tennis courts or horse-riding. For children there are a couple of days out which are very local. Zoomarine is an ocean theme part which has turtles, dolphins and sea lions as well as exotic birds. Slide and Splash is the local water part which has numerous pools, slides, a Jacuzzi, rapids and ample green lawns to take a picnic and spend the whole day. The grounds are so large they rarely get crowded.
