Villa Andrade has four bedrooms, two sitting rooms, a kitchen, a shower room which is en-suite to the master bedroom and a bathroom which the other three bedrooms share. The accommodation is arranged over two floors, with a private pool and terrace outside.

Approach

The attractive white-washed Villa Andrade is set in a elevated hillside position, 2km above Carvoeiro with nice view over the surrounding area from its balcony. Access to the villa is from the main road leading into Carvoeiro and features a rather steep driveway.

Ground Floor

The cosy sitting room has a large curved sofa facing the open fireplace. There is also a coffee table, and satellite TV with DVD player upon a small table. There is a large sunny window to the side, where a single door opens onto the covered terrace at the side of the villa. At the back of the sitting room is a large, sweeping staircase that ascends around to the first floor. This open-plan room also has a small dining area with a round table and chairs for six, in front of a large, ornate dresser.
A wide archway leads through to the well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There is also a door into a small cloakroom. Opposite, another doorway leads to a corridor where you fill find doors to the three ground floor bedrooms. There are double bedrooms and another furnished with twin beds. These share the use of a family bathroom with fullbathtub.
The sweeping staircase opens into another sitting room, with cosy armchairs and sofas – a nice place to retreat from the midday heat and read a good book. Two sets of patio doors open on to a small balcony, with stairs leading down to the pool area. The master double bedroom enjoys privacy here on the upper floor where it is the only bedroom. There is also a separate, tiled shower room with walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin.

The sweeping staircase opens into another sitting room, with cosy armchairs and sofas – a nice place to retreat from the midday heat and read a good book. Two sets of patio doors open on to a small balcony, with stairs leading down to the pool area. The master double bedroom enjoys privacy here on the upper floor where it is the only bedroom. There is also a separate, tiled shower room with walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin.

Outside

The villa is surrounded by sunny paved terracing, green leafy shrubs and mature trees. Doors open to the side of the villa, and a covered area of the terrace where large archways provide shade. The garden table and chairs here provide the perfect spot for long, lazy lunches. The terrace leads slightly downwards to the oval-shaped pool edged with a raised stone surround, and with ladder access. There is also a poolside shower – handy for washing off the sand when you return from sand-castling sessions at the beach.
At the poolside is a small walled area, partly shaded by the large curving staircase that leads to the upper balcony. Here there are plenty of sunloungers for relaxing with a good book. The garden has several spiky palms and flowering shrubs, within blue ceramic pots and raised planters. There is also a barbecue where you can cook family dinners fresh on the sizzling grill.

This attractive holiday villa is set in an elevated position above the road leading into the centre of Carvoeiro, only 2km away. This position provides good views across the surrounding area from the balcony.

2km away is Carvoeiro - once a sleep fishing village but has grown steadily throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. It has a small sandy beach where there are water sports on offer in summer, but it can become quite crowded. Its streets are lined with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll away from the beach towards the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and you will find quaint craft shops and market stalls selling local goods.

• Aqualand Water Park – plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. About 10km away in Alcantarilha.
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. Approx 16km away, in Guia, near Albufeira.
• Krazy World – a family attraction with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day. Approx. 23km away in Algoz.
