Approach

Villa Archie enjoys a quiet location in a residential area of Vilamoura, around 3km from the centre with views over the golf range from the roof terrace. The villa sits within lawned gardens with lush palms trees and shrubs making this a most attractive villa for a family holiday. The garden is fully enclosed with electric gates at the driveway entrance and a mature hedge border for privacy.

Ground Floor

The villa has a cool and spacious living/dining room which has a combination of comfy sofas and attractive rattan furniture arranged around a brick fireplace and flat screen television with satellite channels and a DVD player. Sliding French doors open to an impressive covered dining terrace with views over the garden and pool. The oak dining table is set with six chairs and is positioned under candelabra ceiling lamp beside a second set of patio doors to the garden.

There is a bright and modern kitchen with fitted pine units and granite work surfaces. It is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven with gas and electric hob and a microwave. In addition there is a useful drinks fridge so you will never be short of a refreshing chilled drink when you laze beside the pool.

The villa’s three bedrooms, all with air conditioning, are situated on the ground floor and are individually decorated with smart linens and furniture. There is a twin room which has the use of an adjoining shower room and two double bedrooms, each with en suite shower room and patio doors to the terrace and garden.

Outside

The villa sits within lawned gardens, bordered by mature hedging for privacy and brimming with pretty climbing shrubs, palms and flowers in ceramic pots. Adjacent to the living room is an impressive covered dining terrace which is well-furnished and has archways opening to the garden. There are two steps down to the sun terrace bordering the 11m x 6m pool which has integral steps and a depth range of 0.3m to 2.0m. There is also a poolside shower and sun-loungers. On the other side of the terrace is a short path leading to the brick-built barbecue which is equipped with a useful outdoor sink.

Villa Archie enjoys a quiet residential location tucked away behind Browns Leisure centre and overlooking the Vilamoura Driving Range. An excellent choice of facilities are available within walking distance of this family villa with private pool, including the local supermarket, restaurants, golf and tennis. The nearest sandy beach is a few minutes’ drive away, as is Vilamoura centre and its chic marina. Browns Leisure centre has indoor sports facilities including a heated pool, gymnasium and squash courts plus a relaxation suite, children’s adventure playground and a child-friendly restaurant bar/grill which is open for lunch and dinner.

Vilamoura is a well known and favourite European golfing destination and there are six world class golf courses in the resort, all of which are within easy reach. The resort also offers other outstanding sport and entertainment facilities. These include tennis, horse riding, water sports, and even clay pigeon shooting. Nightlife centres around the huge lively marina, which forms the focal point of the resort. There are numerous shops, bars and restaurants here not to mention the cinema and the casino.

Vilamoura means, literally ‘Moorish Town’. Today, its most popular attractions are the stylish marina and two sandy beaches, Marina and Falesia. The beaches have fine white sand, restaurants, bars and toilet/shower facilities so you can spend all day relaxing beside the sea in comfort. Windsurfing board hire and water ski-ing are available during the main summer months and lessons can be booked if necessary. If you enjoy boat trips, try an excursion from the marina or visit the Algarve’s Big Game Fishing Centre.

The resort also has an excellent selection of designer boutiques, shoe stores, sports outlets, perfumeries and jewelers. At nearby Loule, you can visit the Saturday market and browse the colourful stalls selling fresh local produce and traditional handicrafts. A little further afield at Guia near Albufeira, you will find the huge Algarve Shopping centre which has over one hundred shops selling a wide range of luxury goods and clothes. Algarve Shopping also has a hypermarket, bowling alley and a multi screen cinema screening films in English with subtitles.

The capital city of the Algarve, Faro, is a short drive away and has a maze of pedestrianised streets and interesting historical buildings.
