Luz is a delightful seaside village which is popular with families and holiday-makers of all ages because of its wide white sandy beach and good facilities. The beach has plenty of water sports on offer for fans of lively sea action, and there are umbrellas and sun beds for hire for those who enjoy a little lazy peace and quiet. Plenty of beachside restaurants, snack bars and cafes are right on the door step making the beach an easy place to spend the whole day. Shopping in the resort covers most of your immediate needs, but for a larger choice, Lagos is nearby (7km) and has a wider selection.

Lagos is an old town brimming with character which has a swish marina. Now a well-established tourist resort, once it was home to the first slave market in Europe and the place where Henry the Navigator used to build his boats. Nowadays spending time in a pavement café in a leafy street, or visiting one of the many fine restaurants in the town’s central square is a popular way to spend time. There are also a number of interesting historical buildings to view for those who enjoy a little culture on their villa holiday in the sun.

Good golfing options are very local, as with most places in the Algarve. The closest golf course to the villa is Boavista 5km away, but there are several others within easy driving distance for those who enjoy a round with friends in the sunshine.

Beaches in this area of the Algarve are always a treat. There are a number close by and if you are willing to take a little tour further along the coast, you are sure to find a lovely place to spend the day.

Ground Floor

The cosy living/dining room of the villa is a pleasant room with comfortable seating gathered around an open fireplace set in a white tapered chimney breast and adjacent to the room’s television (which has a selection of satellite channels) and DVD player. The pale walls and tiled floors of this sunny villa give it a traditional feel, but the well equipped kitchen offers useful modern conveniences such as a microwave and dishwasher.

First Floor

Upstairs there are two bedrooms which are both stylishly furnished with good quality wooden furniture. The first has a double bed and the second twin beds. The villa has two bathrooms for these rooms to use.

Outside

The property occupies a corner plot in a quiet residential area of the village and has its own private pool and garden area. The villa has its own sun loungers and parasols for you to enjoy basking in a little poolside sunshine. Atop the villa is a delightful roof terrace from which you can view the sea, and there is a barbecue at the villa for preparing those alfresco meals which are so popular in the balmy Algarve evenings. A pleasant stroll into the village offers plenty more dining options if you prefer not to cook on your villa holiday in the sun.
