Villa Coelha is set on two floors with a large open-plan living room, flooded with light from the glazed interior courtyard. This spacious villa has three bedrooms on the ground floor and two on the first floor; separating by an internal staircase.

Ground Floor

This spacious villa has a light and airy living space divided in two by a central wall with open fireplace. This feature fireplace has a tall white chimney and brick surround and is the central focal point of the cosy sitting area. There are large sofas, coffee tables, a corner cabinet with satellite TV, DVD and stereo, as well as book shelves. There is also a small table and chairs, and another sofa by the glazed walls that look into a small interior courtyard. This central glazed square allows natural light into the room. The other side of this large room contains a dining table and ten chairs. Two steps up take you along a corridor, down the side of the courtyard towards the other rooms.

The open-plan kitchen is furnished in fresh white with rows of units at base and eye level and a small breakfast bar and pillar creating the entrance. This kitchen is fully-equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, large fridge/freezer, and integral oven with hob and grill.

Villa Coelha has five bedrooms; each is typically furnished with wooden beds, bedside tables with small reading lamps, chairs and storage space (either chest of drawers or wardrobes). On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms; with patio doors opening on to the garden.

There are also two separate tiled bathrooms complete with full bathtubs, toilets and washbasins.

First Floor

Stairs lead to the first floor and the remaining two bedrooms. These well-appointed bedrooms both have their own en-suite bathrooms and enjoy elevated views over the surrounding area.

Outside

Doors open from the living room onto a circular covered terrace where there are tables and chairs; perfect for long, lazy lunches in the shade. The garden is bordered by a curved white wall, along which small green shrubs are planted here and there.

A small step leads onto the long stretch of terracotta-tiled sun terrace. In the centre is the rectangular private pool with integral steps to lead you gently into the cool water. The garden also has a built-in barbecue; cook up a storm on the sizzling grill and then gather the group together for a family feast at sunset.

Location

The spacious Villa Coelha is named after Praia do Coelha - a small beach just 500m from the villa. This sandy cove sits between colourful cliffs where there is a beachfront bar/restaurant noted for its fresh fish and seafood. This villa is set in a residential area where there are many other villas, but enjoys its own private gardens and pool. Nevertheless, it may not suit those looking for total seclusion.

Just a short drive away (3km) is the sprawling town of Albufeira; with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can admire the array of white yachts in the newly completed marina in the west. Alternatively, you could stroll around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen's houses.

The Albufeira coastline is made up of lots of different beaches and many have water sports on offer throughout the summer. In addition, there are plenty of golf courses, tennis courts and horse riding facilities found all around the Algarve. The nearest golf course to the villa is Salgados Golf - an 18-hole golf course dominated by water hazards, is approximately 4km away.

Nearby attractions for those with children include;

. ZooMarine- an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. About 5km away in neighbouring Guia.

. Slide and Splash - a huge water park with pools, Jacuzzis, slides and rapids that can keep the whole family amused for a day. There are plenty of grassy areas for relaxing and picnicking and because the grounds are so large, it doesn't get too crowded. Located north of the town on the N125, approx 26km away.
