Villa Isabel is a delightful holiday villa with a private pool situated in a leafy residential area just a five minute walk from the 18-hole Pinhal Golf course. The nearest minimarket is 1km from the villa in the Old Village, and there is a restaurant within 600m. Vilamoura is one of the largest self contained resort areas in Europe and has an extensive range of facilities and two excellent sandy beaches. Leisure activities on offer include tennis, horse riding, water sports, clay pigeon shooting, lawn bowling, sailing and deep sea fishing. Nightlife centres around the large lively marina, which forms the focal point of the resort. Shops, bars and restaurants overlook luxury yachts, and there is a cinema and a casino.
Vilamoura has six different golf courses to choose from offering every type of challenge to every standard of player. International tournaments are hosted here on the glorious 18-hole championship courses. There are also excellent shopping facilities with a good selection of designer boutiques, shoe stores, sports outlets, perfumeries, jewellers to mention a few. Nearby Loule has a colourful Saturday market where you can buy traditional handicrafts or fresh produce to cook on the barbecue.
Vilamoura has some of the finest white sandy beaches in the area, and is close to countless others. Set within beautiful surroundings of fragrant pine forests and sparkling turquoise sea, Vilamoura has been carefully constructed to complement its natural surroundings. The beaches run along either side of the marina with Falesia to the west and Marina to the east. Falesia beach is a long stretch of sand backed by cliffs and runs from the Vilamoura marina as far as the fishing village of Olhos D’Agua. Both beaches have fine white sand and excellent water sports facilities. There are also shower and toilet facilities and several good restaurants overlooking the marina. Popular boat excursions run from the marina or you can book an exciting fishing trip with the Big Game Fishing Centre.
For families with children, there is a water slide park. Aquashow, towards the Quatro Estrados crossroads, which reputedly has Europe’s largest wave pool. At Browns Leisure centre there are indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, tennis, squash and a gym among other things. The resort also has a mini land train which is a convenient way to get around town
