Villa Isabella is part of a small group of villas in the seaside hamlet of Sa Rapita, only a short stroll from the glittering azure Mediterranean. The facilities of the village are likewise only a short walk, and restaurants and shops can be found here.

The long sandy beach of Es Trenc is a short drive by car – a 4km stretch of fine white sand.

For a wider selection of restaurants and shops, the village of Campos is only 12km and reputedly has the best patisserie in Majorca.

A 10km drive will take you to Colina de Sant Jordi, which has a number of pleasant restaurants in the harbour. The beach of Sa Platja des Port is close to the marina here and has nice facilities. From here, each day, there is a ferry which takes you out to the island of Cabrera (Goat Island), which is a rocky island measuring 4 miles by 3 miles and is a designated National Park. The island, as a result, is entirely untouched by modern day tourism, and does not even have a café in which to get a drink, but does make a pleasant day trip. With an illustrious history which includes being a pirate haven and a prisoner of war camp during the Napoleonic Wars, the island is a popular day trip with tourists.

If you take a short drive inland from the coast, you will come across the town of Felanitx, which is well known for its capers, ceramics and locally produced wine. There is a local market held here each Sunday morning where you can purchase these items to take home with you, in front of the 13th century church in the town square. On the top of the hill you can see the fortress and castle which played an important role in resistance against the Moors in times gone by.

Ground Floor

Villa Isabella is a delightful two storey villa in a pleasant clutch of villas close to the seaside hamlet of Sa Rapita. The comfortable living/dining room of the villa is a pleasant room with white-washed walls and tiled floors which has comfortable sofas gathered at one end of the room – a pleasant place to take refuge from the heat of the day and curl up with a book. There is a television which has some satellite channels and a DVD player, as well as a CD player for your entertainment. At the other end of this bright and airy room, there is a dining table with seating for six people.

There is a hatch that leads into the kitchen which is surrounded by wooden shutters and a fishing net, giving a nautical feel and reminding you of the proximity of the coast. The hatch is conveniently located for serving food to your party and leads into the well equipped kitchen which has all the modern equipment you would hope for in a home-from-home holiday villa. There is a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

Also on the ground floor is one of the villa’s bedrooms. A light wood double bed is flanked by bedside cabinets, and there is ample storage for your holiday belonging. There is a separate bathroom on this level with a bath, wc and wash basin.

First Floor

Stairs sweep up to the upper level, where the remaining of the villas bedrooms can be found. There is a double bedroom which has the benefit of its own en suite bathroom, and two further doubles which share the separate bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have doors which lead out onto terraces, which overlook the beautiful gardens – a lovely place to wander out in the early morning and breathe in the fresh morning air.

Outside

The grounds of Villa Isabella are well established and decorated with a sprinkling of brightly coloured flowers spilling out of the terracotta pots on the terrace. The pool is 8m x 4m and has integral corner steps to ease you into the blue water. The pool is surrounded by a wide sun drenched terrace which is well equipped with sun loungers and parasols. A step up takes you to the covered terrace next to the house, where outdoor dining furniture can be found – useful to take advantage of the villa’s barbecue and dine outdoors in the balmy Majorcan evenings. There is also a poolside shower for your convenience.

Mid week clean and towel change included. Linen is changed once per week. Cot and highchair are included. Minimum 7 night stay. For a larger party travelling together, Villa Isabella is close to villas Karena, Paula and Valerie.
