Approach

Villa Jack is set in a leafy residential area of Javea within enclosed grounds. A paved pathway and a set of steps lead to the villa’s entrance.

Ground Floor

The villa has an elegant hallway which opens to a delightful open-plan living area with three sets of patio doors to the pool and terrace. This light and airy room has crisp white paintwork contrasting with the exposed ceiling beams, and is well furnished with three white sofas grouped around a low coffee table. There is a television with a choice of satellite channels, a DVD player and a stereo for your entertainment, with a gas log fire providing warmth during cooler evenings. The formal dining area is close to the kitchen and has a rectangular table with seating for eight beside French doors which let in a cooling breeze. An archway leads to the lovely fitted kitchen which also has a serving hatch to the dining area. Stylish and well-equipped, the kitchen has a large American fridge/freezer, an oven, hob and microwave. The washing machine and tumble dryer are situated in a separate laundry room with a useful door to the rear garden.

All the bedrooms are located on this floor and are individually furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. The master double has doors opening to the rear terrace and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a double bed and has access to the pool terrace, whereas the third bedroom is furnished with twin beds. All three bedrooms have air-conditioning included and have windows fitted with mosquito blinds. There is also a separate shower room on this floor.

First Floor

Stairs from the hallway lead to the first floor shower room and a delightful roof terrace which is a real sun trap with scenic views - the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon’s sunbathing.

Outside

To the front of the villa is a covered ‘naya’ which is furnished with a dining table and chairs and has access to the living room. There is a small step down to the 10m x 5m free-form pool which is surrounded by a paved area and pretty balustrade with scenic views to the sea. There is also a brick built barbecue.

The villa has a rear terrace and landscaped gardens on a lower level with trees and palms providing natural shade.

Villa Jack has a peaceful location in a quiet residential part of Javea, just a few minute’s drive from the Arenal beach area. There are supermarkets and restaurants within easy reach, with three restaurants within walking distance so you can enjoy a glass or two of wine with your evening meal without having to worry about driving home. The historic centre is a short drive away.

Javea (also known as Xabia) is a lovely coastal town sandwiched between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao and midway between the Spanish cities of Alicante and Valencia. Easily accessible via motorway from the airports of both cities, the area is renowned for its warm summers and mild winters and attracts holidaymakers throughout the year. Frequented by smugglers and pirates during the Middles Ages, the caves and bays along the coast are now popular with snorkellers, sunbathers and scuba divers. Granadella and La Barraca are particularly popular with snorkellers and have beach bar facilities. The region has something to appeal to everyone, from quaint traditional villages and sandy beaches to large coastal towns with excellent shopping and dining. There are a number of superb golf courses with a backdrop of rugged mountain scenery.

The Arenal area of Javea is has plenty on offer during the summer months. The bay here has a golden sandy beach which slopes gently into the sea and is edged with bars, shops and restaurants and ice cream parlours. There are plenty of water sports on offer such as sailing, fishing and water ski-ing in the port area. The area is very family-friendly has good facilities including toilets and showers. In the evenings, you can take a stroll along the promenade and watch the street artists performing, buy souvenirs at the craft stalls set up along the seafront or enjoy the live music which fills the air.

The old town has a maze of narrow streets lined with historical townhouses and beautiful squares. There is also an excellent indoor market selling fresh produce including fruit, cheeses and locally caught fish. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants here, not to mention the traditional tapas bars and art galleries – a great place to explore during the heat of the afternoon. The port area has plenty of restaurants and snack bars where you can linger with a cold drink and watch the fishermen bring in their catch.

The area has excellent golfing facilities, the nearest being the 9-hole Javea Golf course a few kilometres out of town towards Benitachell and La Sella near Denia. Javea Golf has a clubhouse and restaurant, two putting greens, tennis courts and a swimming pool with a children’s paddling area. There are also a variety of other places offering activities such as horse riding, tennis, football, basketball and bowling. Benidorm, around a 45 minute drive away, has plenty of family entertainment including a theme park and a large water park.

For those who enjoy exploring, the Montgo natural park is a beautiful mountainous area just to the north of Javea. The highest peak is 753m high and can be seen from the villa’s terraces.
