The villa is approached by a gated road from the coast.

The open plan living area has wood flooring and is well furnished with traditional wooden furniture and plenty of pictures on the wall. Big sofas are set in an L-shape around the log burner and satellite television, with soft wall lighting giving the room a homely feel. The spacious dining area has a large wooden table with seating for six and the kitchen is modern and well-equipped with a microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.

Location
Villa Lola is located just 50m from the coast along a gated road which leads to one other property (Villa Lilian is also available to rent – perfect for two families travelling together or a large group). Set in its own private gardens with a lovely pool and views across coastal countryside to the sea, it offers a retreat for sun lovers looking for relaxation in quiet surroundings.
Close by is the village of Sa Rapita which has low rise buildings in keeping with the local area. You can visit the sandy beach here and perhaps try windsurfing, or drive for another 5 minutes or so south along the coast to Es Trec, a beautiful 4km long strip of white sand which has protected dunes that are home to an enormous number of sea birds. At the far end is the old fishing and farming colony of Colonia de Sant Jordi and from here you can take a boat to the tiny island of Cabrera (or ‘Goat Island’) for an unusual day trip. The island, formerly a haunt of pirates and a prisoner of war camp during the Napoleonic wars, is now a National Park and has no commercial development. The voyage can be booked at a kiosk at the harbour at Sant Jordi and it takes about fifty minutes to reach the tiny jetty at ‘Es Port’, Cabrera’s harbour. Take a walk up to the fourteenth century fortress perched high above the jetty and watch the huge variety of sea birds circling and swooping around the cliffs, keeping an eye open for a glimpse of a Lilfords wall lizard with its distinctive blue underbelly.
Further inland is the unassuming town of Campos di Puerto. Popular for its farmers’ market, held on Thursdays and Saturdays, and also for its much admired bakery shop, Patisserie Pomar, it also has a restored Renaissance town hall and sixteenth century church.
