Villa Marachino is arranged on one floor, with steps up to the villa from street level.

Approach

Villa Marachino is built on a hill overlooking Albufeira and out to sea. From the parking area, ten steps lead up to the villa and past the pool terrace to the front door.

Ground Floor

The front door opens to a long hallway. On the left is the bright and airy living and dining area. In the corner is a cosy living area with satellite TV and a CD stereo - perfect for restful moments indoors. The dining area has a round table that seats six, and is positioned to enjoy the villa's wonderful sea views.

Next to the living and dining room is the sunny kitchen. Fully-equipped, the kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

The bedrooms are located across the hallway. The master bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and breathtaking sea views. Next to it is the twin bedroom, which has fresh white walls and wrought iron furnishings. In the single bedroom are traditional dark wood furnishings, including a dressing table with a mirror.

Outside

Stepping out of the front door brings you to a covered terrace with a fixed dining area. Beside the dining area is a stone barbeque that is ideal for family meals cooked fresh on the sizzling grill. Sitting anywhere at the front of the villa, you can enjoy panoramic views of Albufeira and the ocean.

A little pathway leads to the pool terrace, surrounded by low white walls and neat hedges for privacy. Sunloungers and parasols are dotted around the pool, and steps lead gently into the shallow end for easy access.

At the side of the villa, steps lead up to the spacious roof terrace- an ideal spot for some secluded sun bathing. From up here, the view is even more stunning; fields and villas give way to the glistening Atlantic Ocean.

Location

Villa Marachino is located on a hill high above Albufeira, just 2km from the resort centre. There are shops and restaurants just 550m from the villa, making it easy to pop out for fresh bread. And with the restaurants so near by, you can leave the car behind and enjoy a glass of wine with your meal.

Albufeira, 2km away is a sprawling town with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters, and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can also stroll around the newly completed marina in the west and admire the dazzling array of white yachts. Alternatively, you could wander around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen's houses.

Villa Marachino is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Albufeira coastline, with its fourteen sandy beaches and coves. The nearest is Albufeira beach, which has a wide variety of tourist facilities and snack bars. To the west are two smaller beaches that are quieter and less visited. Castelo beach and Sao Rafael are picturesque coves protected by stunning rock formations of great natural beauty. One of Albufeira's nicest beaches; Praia dos Pescadores or 'fishermens' beach is so named because of the little colourful fishing boats that line the shore here. Salgados Golf, 3km away, backs onto the sand dunes at Gale beach. The 18-hole course has scenic coastal fairways and plenty of water hazards.
