Villa Marachino is located on a hill high above Albufeira, just 2km from the resort centre. There are shops and restaurants just 800m from the villa, making it easy to pop out for fresh bread. And with the restaurants so near by, you can leave the car behind and enjoy a glass of wine with your meal.
Albufeira, 2km away is a sprawling town with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters, and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can also stroll around the newly completed marina in the west and admire the dazzling array of white yachts. Alternatively, you could wander around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen's houses.
Villa Marachino is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Albufeira coastline, with its fourteen sandy beaches and coves. The nearest is Albufeira beach, which has a wide variety of tourist facilities and snack bars. To the west are two smaller beaches that are quieter and less visited. Castelo beach and Sao Rafael are picturesque coves protected by stunning rock formations of great natural beauty. One of Albufeira's nicest beaches; Praia dos Pescadores or 'fishermens' beach is so named because of the little colourful fishing boats that line the shore here. Salgados Golf, 3km away, backs onto the sand dunes at Gale beach. The 18-hole course has scenic coastal fairways and plenty of water hazards.
Nearby attractions for those with children include.
. Slide and Splash - a huge water park with pools, Jacuzzis, slides and rapids that can keep the whole family amused for a day. There are plenty of grassy areas for relaxing and picnicking and because the grounds are so large, it doesn't get too crowded. Located north of the town on the N125, approx 25km away.

Great website and good service all round.
The villa was comfortable, authentic and private and has views of the sea and marina. Pateo was a quiet area with lots of cats and dogs and the local restaurant (Leme) served amazing food. We walked into old town in 20 minutes and taxis were very cheap. 2 buses run every hour, are extremely punctual and stop close to the villa. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking for peace, privacy and your own pool!
Villa just as described and also a personal touch thrown in. How many people will pick you grapes from their garden and then deliver them to you whilst lying by the pool?? Highly recommended
The area where Villa Marrichino was located was in a nice quiet location and only a short walk to a really nice restaurant. 20 min walk into town.
everything went very smoothly ie pre information directions. the villa was better than we thought it was going to be.

From initially looking for a villa to returning home from a holiday in a Villas To Go Villa the team at Villas To Go have been fantastic. Helpful, nice, friendly with a "nothing is to much trouble" attitude. We even had updates by text telling us when we had to go to departures and what gate to go to!! Really first rate sevice! On arrival at the villa it was everything we had hoped for and more, what a fantastic holiday,the villa was sparkling clean and had everything you could have wanted. I can honestly say that Villa Marachino was the best holiday i have ever had. Usually i am ready to come back by the end of my hols but this time i had to be dragged away. The pool was really great, the view was superb and it was so peaceful yet only a short walk from some cafes and a short (and inexpensive)taxi ride to the main town centre. Great friendly company, great villa and a great holiday. Thank you all so much at Villas To Go!!!!!!!!!!
The peace and quiet is so relaxing at "Villa Marachino." Although it was hot as you where on a hill there was always a lovely breeze. The couple always on site (Maria and Lee) are also wonderful hosts, What a lovely couple and very patient!(with my awful attempt at the Portuguese language!!! Local bars and cafes just a short walk away and the main town centre is lively with great shops and beaches. Some lovely restaurants but as eating out is on the expensive side you may as well go for the smaller exclusive ones rather than the "conveyer belt options" However its all nice food.
This villa was a fair Walk to all the amenities,a more senior person would need to know this and car advice would be needed, Taxis and buses excellent!

there is a short walk to a small village where there are bars and restaurants. Albufeira,& Montechoro are a short taxi ride away
