Villa Michelle has an ideal holiday villa location with similar neighbouring properties, just a short walk from the beach at Cala Blanca and other useful local amenities. The quiet resort of Cala Blanca has sandy beaches fringed with pine trees, and soft white sand sloping gently into the Mediterranean. For this reason, the resort is popular with families and those wanting to sunbathe and snorkel, a small beachside water slide adding to its attraction for children. You can buy refreshments in one of the array of bars and restaurants in the resort, some of which overlook the beach so you can enjoy the lovely sea view whilst having lunch.

A wide range of water sports are available at many of the local beaches and you can also go horse-riding, cycling, play tennis or just wander on a peaceful walk through the undulating Menorcan countryside. For a fun family day out, visit the Aqua Center water park at Ciutadella or the Water Rock aqua park at nearby Cala en Bosch.

Ciutadella, the second city and ancient capital of Menorca, is just 5 kilometres north of Cala Blanca. Mahon may have capital city status, but Ciutadella is still considered the religious and cultural capital of the island.distinguished city. The city has a long and chequered history, and its past conquerors have all left their mark on Ciutadella’s interesting architecture. The city square, considered one of Spain’s finest, is dotted with palm trees and has a variety of chic little bars and cafes where you can rest with a cup of coffee and watch the world go by. A colourful market takes place here on Fridays and Saturdays and elsewhere in the city there is something for all visitors’ tastes, with traditional boutiques, shops and museums set amidst cosmopolitan cafes, bars and restaurants. The port itself bustles with private yachts, tiny sailing boats and larger passenger ferries travelling to and fro between Menorca and Mallorca.

Cala Galdana, about half and hour to the east, is one of the most ecologically important coves on the island and is also reputedly one of the most beautiful. The deep horseshoe bay with its sloping sandy beach is backed by high limestone cliffs. Nestled in the pine trees behind the beach is a bar/ restaurant and parking is available nearby. Boat tours can be arranged locally so that you can explore the coastline’s hidden coves and inlets, or you can simply spend time sunbathing on the sand and cooling off in the calm turquoise water. Wind-surfing and snorkelling equipment is available to hire.

The capital city of Mahon is just under an hour’s drive away. Mahon is built around the world’s second deepest natural harbour and this remains the heart of the city with streams of cargo ships and boats sailing to and from Menorca. The city has a fascinating history, steeped in culture and there is an interesting mix of local tradition and more contemporary activities. For those seeking entertainment, the bars and restaurants bring the harbour to life at night.

Ground Floor

This two-storey villa has an inviting open-plan living and dining area, with high beamed ceilings, tiled flooring and modern wooden furniture. Cottage style seating is arranged around a coffee table and the television which has some satellite channels and a DVD player, ideal for keeping children entertained when they need some time out of the sun. A large archway leads into the dining area where there is a table with seating for six people, set below an attractive wooden staircase leading to the first floor. Patio doors open from the living room onto a lovely covered terrace which overlooks the pool garden. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob and washing machine.

The villa has two good-sized twin bedrooms on the ground floor, both of which are airy and well-furnished. There is a separate full bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin

First Floor

There is a wooden staircase to the first floor twin bedroom which benefits from access to a pleasant balcony and has en suite bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin.

Outside

The villa sits within a private well-kept garden and has an attractive paved terrace set with pool furniture and flanked by a small lawned area. The swimming pool is rectangular with a Roman end and integral steps. The covered dining terrace adjacent to the villa has a dining table and chairs and a built-in barbecue is provided for easy outdoor cooking.
