Villa Olympia is located in the village of Acoteias, within twenty minutes walk of the lovely Falesia beach and the Pine Cliffs Sheraton resort. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and bars within an easy stroll on a warm, summer evening.
Slightly to the west (approximately 4km) lies the village of Olhos d’Agua. Olhos D’Agua means the ‘eyes of the water’ named after the fresh water springs that bubble up beneath the water (can be seen amongst the rocks at low tide). This fishing village has become a popular holiday location but is not over crowded and still contains much charm and tradition. The main street runs down the hillside to the beach, and along the side streets you’ll find many restaurants, often specialising in fresh seafood and fish.
The town of Albufeira is about 8km away; a sprawling town with plenty to see and something to suit everyone. During the day you can enjoy the sandy stretches of beach or browse the markets where local handicrafts and fresh goods are sold. In the evening, a wide variety of bars, restaurants and clubs fill the streets with people and life; locals sit on the terraces of traditional restaurants, the bars fill up with thirsty punters and all kinds of music drift across the air. You can admire the array of white yachts in the newly completed marina in the west. Alternatively, you could stroll around the Old Town and explore the maze of cobbled streets, past white-washed fishermen’s houses.
Nearby attractions for those with children include;
• ZooMarine- an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. About 8km away the other side of Albufeira, in Guia.
• Slide and Splash – a huge water park with pools, Jacuzzis, slides and rapids that can keep the whole family amused for a day. There are plenty of grassy areas for relaxing and picnicking and because the grounds are so large, it doesn’t get too crowded. Located north of the town on the N125, approx 27km away.

GOOD VALUE EVERYTHING AS DESCRIBED
PEACE AND QUIET WITH NIGHT LIFE AND BEACHES WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE
The Villa is in a quiet area with bars and a supermarket within walking distance which supplied us with all our needs. Within a 10 Minute drive a place called Olhos De Agua there is a beautiful beach with Shops and lovely Restaurants very child friendly would definately recommend. The beach of Falesia which is the nearest beach is beautiful but would not recommend it for pushchairs only steps down. The whole area is beautiful and you are not far from anything and definately suitable for families. We loved it.

The beach was amazing. The bars and restaurants were value for money and so friendly. Such a laid back and relaxing place.
Have stayed in two villas now through villas to go, both were very nice, clean, and well equipt. Regular cleaning services and good, detailed information given about the area, where to go, how to find the villa, always a local representative on hand. Good value for money.
Acoteias is a quiet but lovely area, but also a short taxi/bus ride to larger/busier towns. There is a well stocked supermarket within short walking distance, and a good choice of decent restaurants, only a mile away from the beach which is beautiful but can get very busy in the summer.
we were really happy with the villa.we had a brilliant holiday,it was very peaceful and private.

For a nice relaxing holiday I think the area has everything.Anything added might spoil it.

Everything is organised for you and very simple, there is no stress what so ever.
Very friendly people in the area and one excellent bar called Hollywood Bar. Beaches are only about 5 minute drive away and are excellent for enjoying the sun and relaxing.

Quiet Residential area with easy access to Albufeira via bus. Good range of relaxed restaurants and bars - very friendly and excellent service too. Two quality minimarkets for all the family's everyday needs at reasonable prices. We had a 10 month old baby with us and were able to get baby food, nappies, etc - all at UK prices. (Excellent Hairdresser/Nail Salon too!!) Easy 20 minute walk to the gorgeous Falesia beach and also an ideal area for walking with a pram - We would recommended the Acoteias area to families - we would certainly go back to this area of the Algarve.

Villa Olympia is just off the main road where there are bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. However, you aren't bothered by noise from these places as you are far enough away not to be affected.

Peace and quiet but well placed for visiting Albufiera and other major attracations. Choice of bars and restaurants. Within tweny minutes walk of the beach. 300m from supermarket.
Villas to go were fantastic. Always answered any questions I had about our Villa very quickly.The vila we had in the Algarve was lovely.
It is a fairly quiet area but very near beaches and has some bars and resturants nearby.
