Villa Sally is a spacious two-storey villa with two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs with doors to a balcony terrace.

Approach

Quinta do Rosal is a peaceful residential estate consisting of a few villas and townhouses built in tree-covered grounds. At the front of the villa are a neat green lawn and a curved driveway fringed by leafy green shrubs and trees.

Ground Floor

The front door opens to an entrance hall. On one side is the spacious living and dining room. Natural light pours in through large patio doors that lead out to the pool terrace and gardens. In one corner of the room is the living area, with comfortable sofas arranged around a coffee table. Next to the stone fireplace are satellite TV and a DVD player. There is plenty of room here for the whole family to gather, either for a cool siesta or an evening game of cards.

On the other side of the room is the light and airy dining area with a polished wooden dining table to seat eight. Patio doors lead out to a terrace edged by verdant shrubs. The kitchen is reached through a door from the dining room. Extremely spacious and fully equipped, the kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine

You will also find two bedrooms on the ground floor. All the bedrooms in Villa Sally are fitted with ceiling fans for a cool night’s sleep. The double room has French windows leading out to the pool terrace - perfect for those who enjoy an early swim before breakfast. Beside the double room is a twin room, furnished with cosy beds and fitted wardrobes. Guests sleeping in the ground-floor bedrooms share a separate bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

First Floor

Upstairs, the landing has patio doors that lead out to a spacious balcony terrace overlooking the pool area. At one end is the master double bedroom, furnished with a charming wood-canopy bed, fitted wardrobes, air-conditioning and en suite bathroom. Patio doors lead out from here onto the balcony terrace. The twin bedroom also has air-conditioning, an en suite bathroom and patio doors to the balcony.

Outside

Villa Sally has been built on sizable grounds with beautiful mature gardens. Patio doors lead out to the pool terrace. Next to the pool is a covered dining area with stone table and chairs. There is also a barbeque, perfect for family meals cooked fresh on the grill.
The pool itself is fan-shaped, with steps leading gently into the water. Beyond the pool is a grassy lawn surrounded by shrubs, palms and leafy trees. The shade dappled garden is a lovely spot for children to play, or for you to stretch out and listen to the birdsong.
In addition to the villa’s private gardens and pool, you are welcome to use the communal facilities, including a large pool, children’s pool and tennis courts. Please bring your own tennis equipment.

Additional Information

The pool is set very close to the house and is therefore unsuitable for toddlers.
The development has a snack bar/internet café at the communal poolside as well as a mini-market selling basic essentials. The restaurant features a weekly family barbecue night where there is live music, and also romantic candlelit evenings for adults only on a Friday between October and June. Baby-sitting services can be arranged.

The helpful reception is open 9.30 - 5.30, 7 days a week from April to October (and Mon-Fri in winter), it can offer you local advice and DVD/Video hire.

Cots, highchairs and fans are available for supplements payable locally per week.
This house has a Thursday changeover and minimum 7 day stay. Should you require other days or dates our sales staff with be happy to request these for you.

Please bring your own equipment to use the tennis courts.

Golf packages are on offer during the winter months.

Location

Villa Sally is located in Quinta do Rosal, a peaceful development just 4km from Carvoeiro. There are a mini-market, internet café, and restaurant on-site, as well as tennis courts and a large communal pool. For a wider selection of shops, restaurants and bars, Carvoeiro is just a short drive away. Quinta do Rosal is located near several beautiful beaches including Benagil and Marinha, both less than 5km away. Families staying at Quinta do Rosa have the choice of staying on-site to enjoy the facilities or using it as a base to explore the beautiful Algarve coastline.

Once a quiet fishing village, Carvoeiro has steadily grown throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. Its streets are lined with shops, bars and restaurants and market stalls selling fresh, local goods. Its sandy beach is very popular and offers water sports in high season, but is quite small and can become crowded. Although now a bustling place in summer, the essence of the sleepy village still remains in the local fisherman who sail the seas and bring home their catches, sorting them in the harbour.

For a historical daytrip, head inland to Lagoa. The Sixteenth-century town grew up around its main church. A feeling of history still lingers in the streets, where beautiful altars still mark the Stations of the Cross used in the old Holy Week ceremonies. Among the pretty white washed houses, there is a small selection of shops, cafes and traditional restaurants.

• Aqualand Water Park – Located in Alcantarilha, this water park has plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. Buses run from Armacao de Pera.
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds.
• Krazy World – a family attractions site with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day.
