Villa Vizinha adjoins Alto da Eira but has plenty of private outdoor space. Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor, with just the master suite enjoying privacy upstairs. Approach

Villa Vizinha is situated in a peaceful hillside location above the picturesque village of Carvoeiro. You drive through iron gates onto the double width cobbled driveway leading up to the garage and parking area at the front of the villa.

Ground Floor

The open-plan living/dining room has an attractive open fireplace on the left-hand wall by a large wooden table with chairs for six. Stairs lead from the corner, around behind the fireplace to the first floor. On the right is a sitting area with a sofa, armchairs and cabinet holding the satellite TV. This light and bright room has doors opening on to the sunny pool terrace outside, flooding the room with natural light.
A small archway leads through to a corridor with a door into the spacious kitchen which is well-equipped with a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor; the first is a double bedroom with wooden bed, bedside tables, dressing table and large mirror. It also has an en-suite shower room and a lovely large window looking out onto the sunny pool terrace. A small corridor leads to a family bathroom, and the other two bedrooms which both have twin beds.

First Floor

A curving flight of stone steps lead you from the living room up to the first floor hallway where a doorway leads off to a private balcony. A door opens into the master double bedroom which has large built-in wardrobes, bedside tables with reading lamps and an en-suite bathroom. The sunny window overlooks the pool and gardens.

Outside

A large sunny terrace surrounds the pool area, with plenty of sunloungers and parasols for soaking up the warm sun or reading in the shade. The large rectangular pool has integral steps leading you gently into the water and the area is screened from the surrounding area by a white wall and some spiky palm trees. At one end is a covered dining pagoda with built-in, marble-topped table and bench seating, the perfect place for an al fresco family dinner – perhaps with food cooked fresh on the sizzling barbecue grill. At the other end of the terrace is a kids play area where they can enjoy zooming down the slide, and playing on the swings and see-saw.
For large parties, Villa Vizinha adjoins Alto da Eira and is also near to Quinta do Molerio.

Villa Vizinha adjoins Alto da Eira and is set in a peaceful residential location, 1.5km above the village of Carvoeiro. It has spacious accommodation and plenty of private outdoor space. This holiday villa is an ideal choice for large parties as there are two other great villas nearby (Alto de Eira and Quinta do Moleiro).

A 15-minute downhill stroll or short trip in the car will bring you to the small sandy beach of Praia do Carvoeiro, where there are water sports on offer in summer. Carvoeiro was once a quiet fishing village but has steadily grown throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. The streets are lined with cafes, bars and restaurants, and a stroll around the older streets of the town will take you to quaint shops selling local crafts and market stalls selling fresh local goods. Although now a bustling place in high season, the essence of the sleepy village still remains in the local fisherman who sail the seas and bring home their catches, sorting them in the harbour.
