Accommodation

The villa has wrought iron entrance gates at the front of the property, with plenty of space to park your car within the driveway.

Ground Floor

The living area is reached via double doors off the hallway and offers direct access to the covered dining terrace and pool garden. This spacious room has a formal dining area with seating for six and a sitting area with comfortable armchairs and a sofa arranged around the television (with some satellite channels). There is also a wood-burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen is of a good size and fully fitted with pine units and appliances including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also a convenient breakfast table and chairs.

There is one full bathroom and a double

First Floor

Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms and a second family bathroom with bath/overbath shower, WC and washbasin. The double bedroom has a private balcony with countryside views to the sea in the distance. The twin bedroom also has access to its own first floor balcony.

Outside

The pool garden is situated at the rear of the villa, with an archway offering access from the front drive via steps. Adjacent to the villa is a covered dining terrace, with a balustrade overlooking the pool and steps leading down to a spacious sun terrace surrounding the 12m x 5.5m pool. It has a Roman end with integral steps at the shallow end (depth range 2.3 – 1.3m).

This attractive, white-washed holiday villa has a peaceful, semi-rural location around 3km from the village of Benagil, where you will find local shops for essentials and some restaurants serving local seafood. If you don’t want to go too far afield, Poppy’s Restaurant is only 20m away from your villa.

The beautiful Marinha beach, only 2km away, has golden sands, and dramatic sandstone cliffs. But be warned, there are 116 steps down, which means 116 steps back up again! Albandeira beach is a similar distance away and Carvoeiro is also within a short drive. Carvoeiro is a charming coastal resort around 6km from Lagoa and has a dramatic coastline with white houses perched on the cliff tops and fishing boats lining the beach. You can still watch the local fishermen landing their catches at the harbour. The old part of town has cobbled streets where you can sip coffee at one of the pavement cafes and you will also find a variety of market stalls selling handicrafts, ceramics and souvenirs in high season.

The resort has a number of golf courses suitable for all standards of players, the nearest being Vale de Milho golf, only 3.5km from the villa.

Children will enjoy a day at a water park, the nearest one being Slide and Splash just outside Lagoa about 6km away. Lagao is also somewhere to visit for a historical daytrip, being a 16th century town which has grown up around its main church. Here you will find a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants nestled among pretty white washed houses.

For a wider selection of shopping, take a drive to the recently opened Algarve Shopping centre near Guia, which has a wide range of stores including well known international brands such as Zara and The Bodyshop. Here you will also find a hypermarket, a bowling alley and a cinema complex which shows films in English with subtitles. Also at Guia is the renowned Zoo Marine ocean theme park
