This immaculately-presented and homely villa is on two floors; with the ground floor elevated above street level to enjoy better views over the surrounding countryside. There are two bedrooms on each floor and many terraces and balconies around the exterior.

Approach

In a semi-rural location overlooking open fields, Villa Noguerias is found at the end of a rather small track. From the parking area, sets of white-balustraded stairs lead to the terraces and doors into the ground floor living space. This villa is slightly elevated for even better views and a sunnier position, and there are many terraces and balconies all around for enjoying the countyside views.

Ground Floor

This large holiday villa is immaculately presented throughout with white-washed walls and tiled flooring creating a cool calm feel. There are some lovely features such as the attractive arched doorways and a rounded tower in the centre of the villa where stairs join together the two floors.
The light and airy living room has an attractive fireplace with a wood-burning stove and patio doors opening on to the terrace outside. There are sofas and armchairs, and a large coffee table. It is also well-equipped with a Satellite TV and CD player – handy for keeping the kids amused and out of the sun in those lazy siesta hours.
Double arched door open into a hallway leading to the dining room and kitchen. The elegant dining room has a polished wood dining table and eight chairs, as well as patio doors opening out on to a sunny terrace and double doors through to the kitchen. The fresh white kitchen has rows of glossy units at base and eye level with integral oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is decorated with white tiles, a grey granite worktop and a small black and white breakfast table and two chairs.
Doors lead from the corridor to the pretty master bedroom which has a wooden-framed double bed with bedside cabinets either side and small reading lamps. There is a large wardrobe with a central mirror panel and two wicker armchairs by the window overlooking the garden. A chest of drawers provides even more storage and above it is a wall mirror.
The other ground floor bedroom is furnished in a similar way but with twin beds, and patio doors that open on to a sunny terrace. These two bedrooms share the use of a large bathroom with attractive blue tiles. It has a large white corner bath as well as a toilet and washbasin.

First Floor

The stairs are guarded by dark wooden banisters and open at the top to a large sunny landing with doors opening on to an upstairs terraced balcony. Doors lead to the two bedrooms. The first has a wooden-framed double bed and bedside cabinets either side with small reading lamps. There is a sunny window overlooking the gardens, and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has twin beds, a bedside cabinet with reading lamp and large built-in wardrobes. There is also a set of glass patio doors opening onto a balcony with nice view over the gardens and surrounding area. You could relax here with a glass of wine at sunset and watch as twilight descends.

Outside

To the side of the villa is a large sun terrace paved in terracotta tiles, and bordered in two sides by a pastel-painted wall. The mature terraced garden has bordered full colourful flowering plants and shrubs. And the terrace has lots of potted palms and a mature tree that casts some dappled shade across the pool terrace. The roman-ended private pool has integral steps leading you gently into the water. There is also a poolside shower and an additional shower room outside; handy for washing off the sand when you return from an afternoon at the beach.
Alongside the pool is a glazed pool-house. Inside is a lovely summer kitchen with a fridge, cooker and a built-in barbecue as well as tables and chairs – a great setting for cooking up a family feast on the sizzling barbecue.

Location

Villa Noguerias is situated within semi-rural countryside, dotted with white-washed villas and the odd restaurant and fruit grove. A small track leads off the main road to the villa, which is only 4.5km from Caroveiro. There are two restaurants nearby - ideal for walking out to dinner in the evening and beautiful beaches and numerous amenities and leisure facilities can be found in the town.

The stunning, sandy Marinha beach is about 3km away, and has dramatic cliffs and beautiful tunnels and formations in the rocks. There are 116 steps down to the beach, but the route is fairly even and well-maintained. Here you can swim and splash about in the warm waters, build kingdoms of sand-castles or just relax in the sun on the soft sand.

The sprawling village of Carvoeiro, 4.5km away was once a sleepy fishing village but has grown steadily throughout the years to incorporate the flourishing tourist trade. It has a small sandy beach where there are water sports on offer in summer, but it can become quite crowded. Its streets are lined with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll away from the beach towards the cobbled streets of the Old Town, and you will find quaint craft shops and market stalls selling local goods.

For those with kids, good family attraction nearby include…
• Aqualand Water Park – plenty of slides and flumes to scream your way down and lazy rapids where you can float along in rubber rings. About 10km away
• ZooMarine – an ocean theme park set amongst lakes and gardens with exhibitions, shows and rides to entertain the whole family. Has a large range of marine animals from sea lions and dolphins to turtles and exotic birds. Approx 16km away.
• Krazy World – a family attraction with a small zoo that has live animal shows throughout the summer and aims to inspire children about conservation. There is also a petting zoo (with camels and llamas!), pony rides and mini-golf so there’s enough to keep the whole family occupied for a day. Approx. 23km away
