Originally the Capital of Cyprus in Roman times, Paphos is now a bustling holiday resort. ‘Kato Paphos is the newer part of town, where you will find an array of tavernas, bars, nightclubs and shops, with many waterfront restaurants around the beautiful harbour. Stunning archaeological gems include the Tombs of the Kings dating from 4th century BC and Roman Mosaics depicting Greek mythology. The Ano Paphos (Ktima) is set on a hill overlooking the sea and hosts a colourful indoor market and has a maze of winding streets.
