These islands have beautiful beaches filled with thousands of shells. Lighthouse Beach at the eastern end of Sanibel has a working lighthouse and fishing pier and Bowman’s Beach to the west has barbecue grills and an outdoor shower. There are many others, with the Causeway Beaches on San Carlos Bay having great facilities for picnics, windsurfing and fishing. Boat hire and sailing tuition is available.
